Hori Wired Mini Gamepad - any good?

I keep spotting these at gradually lower prices in the B&M when I'm in there buying bottles of Owd Rodger and sliced haslet.

Any experience of them? I guess demand isn't that high for a wired gamepad, but I always considered Hori a quality make. I'm just suspicious they might be awful or something! Thinking of getting one for my Pi setup.

Is there an Xbox One equivalent?

        Boooooo!

I've not used one of those PS4 pads, but seen them at a show and they looked decent.

If there was a B&M anywhere nearby I'd likely take a punt. I share the feeling of Hori being reliable, and even though they're wired and may only got rolled out when trying to kit everyone out for a 4-player game of Towerfall, £15 seems a good price.

If they're still there next week I think I'll take a chance!

Go for it! I've used one. They're a good pad. Nothing earth shattering but deffinety a good second controller.

There is a similar looking pad by Hyperkin:

I don't know what it's like in terms of quality though.

Cheers Wakka, but it's not B&M prices, is it?!

I got one for my daughter from cex for £12. Its pretty decent for the price, although it doesn't have a proper touch pad.

They're still there, I was just in there! Didn't buy one though, no time to stop.
