Car booked in for MOT. Start it up this morning and the mother****ing clutch has gone.

That's a ****ter, we had ours done last week.

It passed but one of the advisories was it needed two new back tyres, was told they had plenty of tread but as they were now fifteen years old they were splitting and cracked!

I can give an update...
Failed it's MOT on the following:
both front brake discs and pads, defective headlight, a brake light, both back suspension coils snapped and a tire advisory.
Plus the clutch of course.

Car is only 4 years old and has sat still for most of this year.

I've bearly used it. I'm a safe driver, never been involved in a crash or anything (touch wood). Drive pretty slow. I think its just a pile of ****.

Bloody hell, I'd agree, ours was bought new on a 55 plate and like you I'm not a boy racer, done less than 35k miles.

Sails through the MOT, never failed. I just have the advisories done. Mine apart from the tyres were new pads, brake fluid and wheel alignment which was shocking apparently. I was wondering why the steering was so heavy, now it's light as a feather.

They called me back. £460 for all the work. To be honest I think it's a good price for all that. Ready next week.
