Your Gaming Spend - 2020 Edition

Almost time to put the bean counter back to £0.00 and to start seeing if the upcoming year of the arrival of the Next-Gen systems will break yuor bank account.

Who's in for the annual tracking of your gaming spend in 2020?

Do you think you can beat your personal best for either most/least spent during the 12 months?

    Hahahahahaaaaa!!!

Looking at last year I started tracking well and gave up by April.

My plan for this year is to spend less than £300 which, considering I don't plan on buying PS5 at launch should be achievable.

    Resident Evil 3
    The Last of Us 2
    Ghost of Tsushima

That's my obvious outlay this year.

If I paid for last of us 2 this year does that count and last years or next years spend haha

Same as above, already pre-ordered Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore.

        January:

        SRW-X [Switch]

        March:

        Animal Crossing Summat [Switch]

Edit: I'm going by "when did I pay" I think.

Last years tally being £668 is one I'd love to beat but it feels like chances are limited with new consoles set to launch. Fingers crossed I can weave magic as otherwise the year is looking relatively barren of worthwhile big hitters.

19 has seen me spending more than I have done in years , I wouldn’t like to guess . I’d imagine I’ll slow down until PS5 now tbh

I would like to spend significantly less next year. I'm talking £50 a month max which is still £600 a year. Preferably less.

I'm sure I'll stick to it

              -edit-
Both the PC Engine Mini and Analogue Pocket come out next year so yeah... that's already out of the window.

I said I wasn't going to buy much this year and concentrate on my backlog.

                By 3pm I'd spent

New Gundam Breaker and Capcom Belt Action Collection £31.53
                2 LRG blind boxes £51.50

                Went tits up pretty quickly.

It's definitely a major concern that one new console launch coudl total this year for me.

My goal this year is to spend no more than €20 (£17) per month / €240 (£204) altogether on game-related purchases, excluding inevitable gifts to my daughter.

As of today (19 January), the tally is at €45.72 (£38.97).

I'm fine with keeping my Game Pass sub for €4 a month until Cyberpunk.

I'll likely wait for DOOM Eternal to go on sale.

That's it this year, for me.

Argos have been clearing out loads of 3DS stuff. I got lucky as I saw it on their eBay store and had to hunt to find a store that had it for click & collect. Luckily a store near where I was working had one left.
