Another TV adaptation of a Terry Pratchett novel is inbound, this time by the BBC and is an 8 episode retelling of The Watch series of books.

The Watch is here. But it’s not a version of Ankh-Morpork’s infamous guard that you might have been envisioning when news of a new Discworld show first popped up.

Richard Dormer plays Vimes, he was great in Fortitude so should be a good watch in this. The series launches sometime during 2020.

I love how it looks. Not what I was expecting at all because I always have the book covers and the game look in my head when I read the books but I really like this. It feels kind of nuts that we haven't yet had a great adaptation and maybe this won't turn out to be it... but maybe it will. I'm definitely interested.
