Not vintage but a couple of standouts for me. Misery is a cracking King adaptation ... good old Rob Reiner.

I hope Escape-To-88 has voted for House Party!

Some great Film Stories podcasts on some of these.

Predator 2:
In the latest episode of Film Stories with Simon Brew, a sequel that needed some fast recasting, and an animated film that needed some fast retooling. When Fox restricted the budget for 1990’s Predator 2, both Arnold Schwarzenegger and director John McTiernan were out. And that wasn’t the only problem. Pixar’s hugely acclaimed Ratatouille, meanwhile, was in such ... Podcast: Predator 2 (1990) and Ratatouille (2007)

Pump Up The Volume:
In the latest episode of Film Stories with Simon Brew, changes in the Harry Potter franchise, and a cult hit from a reluctant director. 2004’s Harry Potter & The Prisoner Of Azkaban (2004) saw the popular series in need of a mini-course correction, and some notable personnel changes. Allan Moyle, meanwhile, had John Cusack in mind ... Podcast: Harry Potter & The Prisoner Of Azkaban (2004) and Pump Up The Volume (1990)

Yeaah, Misery is superb. I also voted for Jacob's Ladder and Pacific Heights, although with the latter I haven't seen it in decades so can't vouch for how it holds up today.

I do not care for Home Alone.

Yes, Pump Up The Volume is definitely one of Slater's better films.

Some cracking films there. Jacob's Ladder would top my list. Also went for Presumed Innocent which had a great plot (and Er.... Other stuff). And Pump Up The Volume. Christian Slater epicness. Heathers is on Prime - watched it last week

Misery and Mo' Better Blues for me, Misery has been covered for all the good reasons but I really enjoyed MBB, not as good as White Men Can't Jump but a good watch nevertheless.
