    Rev/Octane - Commemorative Edition

Like the Top Gear segment of old, each day I'll post up a new car and you get to debate and decide whether the car is good enough to go onto the Bordersdown Cool Wall or whether to relegate to the Junk Yard wall.

We're going to begin with this rare breed of a vehicle:

    Aston Martin Bulldog
Just one unit was actually produced and is currently going through restoration after which it will be speed bested in an attempt to beat 200mph for top speed, its previous best being 191mph.

    Cool or Junk?

            Great thread idea, thanks.

            Definitely cool!

Just looking at those pics, am I right in thinking the bonnet lowers to reveal the lights, rather than the 80s staple of pop-up lights?

There was definitely a theme of pointy fronted cars in the 70s. The Dome Zero and the Lancia Stratos Prototype all had a similar design. I like it, definitely on the cool wall...although I think the Lancia Stratos Prototype pips it simply for being the Moonwalker car.

Apparently it's going to take 18 months to restore as they're going right down to every nut and bolt, gets a global tour after the record attempt too. Always love gulwing doors too

It has gullwing doors and you have to ask us if it's cool?

Never seen one of those. So great. Hopefully the Tesla truck will revive this style.

I remember the Bulldog being one of the cars in a tick the list game i used to have as a kid, always wondered when i was young why id never seen one, never did get it ticked off.

Now i know why, theres ONE, 1 dam car.

                          Car 002: Lexus UX Hyrbid

Quite likely showcasing how poor the government is in planning for dealing with cars and the reduction in pollution levels, Lexus has potentially shown that installing charging points everywhere is a fools game with the launch of their self-charging Hybrid that charges its battery as you drive.

                          Cool or Junk?

I don't think Lexus has ever made an attractive car. They are too busy trying to fit the design around whatever the original Toyota car was.
                              Not cool.
