Looking after a poorly husband today.

Was just about to start playing Apex Legends last night when my colleague called me saying they had an Astrazeneca dose left over at the vaccine center he volunteers at so Asura got jabbed late last night with his first dose. Today, as predicted, he's pretty out for the count so got him set up with watching some Star Trek and gonna cook a nice dinner for him later.

He has barely left the house since October and second lockdown and we have not gone shopping apart from for groceries. There was a big anti-vax/ mask protest the other day locally here so we are not in a massive rush to return to the city center but feel a bit more comfortable trying to go shopping later in the month for what we need rather than relying too much for deliveries.

Funnily enough I spoke to my mother today, she had her 2nd astrazeneca yesterday too and my stepdad had his on Friday. Now when I get to see her in just under 2 weeks when I can finally stay over (we are meeting up in a caravan park) all present will have had at least one jab.

It will be the first time I have seen any of my family since our wedding last September. Looking forward to it, except my mum's dog has been very unwell which has caused her a lot of anguish and the fact she has to get a train into London AGAIN for more specialist treatment. I feel a bit better now she has had both jabs doing this but even so places are getting so much more busier with people taking less care, my mum and I have a really bad habit of being the minority of having bad things happening despite low odds so I do worry.

Got him tucked up, dosed up, and topped up with fluids watching Star Trek Generations.

Someone photoshopped 3d glasses on him? That's hardly a side effect.

Good grief, couldn't you at least get him set up with Wrath of Khan or First Contact?

Another reason to wear a mask is that it normalises wearing one so people don't feel strange wearing one and it makes non-wearers less comfortable.

I do wish stores would police it more, but they don't care who's parking in disabled bays, so it'll never happen. They just want their money.

In fairness to supermarkets etc., it's because people get violent when they do, and the staff don't get paid to deal with that.

And I know (as I have a friend who worked as one) that the security guards in those places are just theatre.

First jab booked for this Thursday. Hopefully the side effects aren't too severe on Friday but im happy to finally be booked in regardless.

Had my first jab this morning. No side effects so far.

By the way, have you considered upgrading to the latest version of Microsoft Office, I've heard it's very good?

Feeling a bit achey and ill from my Pfizer jab. Worth it obviously but I'm hoping a good night's rest helps.

Getting my first jag on Sunday after work. Weirdly my younger brother will beat me to it. Does seem like it’s by address rather than age now.

Picturing you going to pick up a Jag and your brother just beating you to the sale now. "dam you little brother and your speedier legs"

I had my second Jab on Saturday, felt like i had a dead arm like id been punched which was weird as the first jab was fine.

After his second dose we can call him "Two Jags".
