^I was thinking the same thing!!!

Gone straight from Resi Rev 1 to RESIDENT EVIL REVELATIONS 2 on Xbox One. Hmmmm.

Not enjoying this first prisony bit too much, it's so very dark and you have to rely on swapping over to your partner (who has a torch but no gun, at least so far).

Yeeeeah, it's a little tedious not being able to see anything and swapping to the torch constantly reminds me of the older versions of DOOM 3. Not a deal-breaker but bloody annoying.

Gunplay does feel a bit nicer with this one, it's a bit splashier and more satisfying than the orig. Just hope it stops being so bloody DARK all the time!!!

I've been playing more Crash Bandicoot 4, I'm up to what I think is the last world now.

It's fun. Pretty compulsive, I chewed through several hours pretty easily with it on Saturday. It's not quite as tight as it could be, and design choices from the 1990s still hurt it - chiefly that the 'into the screen' perspective frequently makes depth perception difficult. Not great, as that's pretty crucial for a platformer. But I don't really see any way that they could change that without making a fairly radical alteration to how the game works.

There is a TON of content in this game. I think the critical path is about 12 hours, but I reckon you could easily spend 100+ getting all the crystals for various challenges, doing the alternate 'N-Verted' versions of the levels, and collecting and finishing all the bonus levels. I won't be doing that, though. I can't be bothered. I will probably do some bits after I've beaten the final boss, but there's absolutely no way I'll be going anywhere near aiming for 100% on any of it.

Overall it's a solid 7.5/10 from me so far. Recommended if you like this sort of thing!

Been caning GTA Online and it's quite addictive.

There are two games though - the one where children blow you up from their sky bikes and the one with private lobbies where you're free to do your own thing in peace. The former leads to profanity.

Anyway, if you get your own session (either invite-only or trick it into thinking you have a slow connection) then it's amazing.
Last night was our co-op night, but we also played Saturday.

We've been hammering the Cayo Perico Heist because it's 1.5x bonus on the main loot this week.
It's a great way to make money quick because you can run it solo (although it's more fun with friends), do the whole thing in an hour and do it all in an invite-only session (other heists need a public session). You usually walk away with at least $1m.

It's a brilliant mission and really tense, especially when you're scoping out the island without guns.
The finale is tense too, with a variety of ways to get in the base from a HaLo jump to sneaking in thought the drainage tunnel.
One mistake and the alarms sound and it's all over, but there's a bonus if you make it through quickly.

It's a shame this is the best way to make money as it's tempting to rinse it to the point of boredom, when there are some many other things to do.

Last night, we skipped CP and did the lab heists instead and they were a lot of fun, stealing planes, jets, EMPs and tanks ready for the finale. The payout is comparatively poor, but we're at the point where we have most toys and just want to have more fun.

Going to do the Casino and Doomsday heists again and see what other missions are available when you buy things like the yacht, a penthouse suite and a Mobile Operations Centre.

We then did a bunch of races, which are like a massive Hotwheels track over the city. Brilliant fun and brought out some friendly rivalry!

Fave car is currently the Toreador, which turns into a submarine (like James Bond), but also has a turbo boost, which leads to some hilarious japes as you blast about the map.

I have been been spamming all week. I like them, all these games have great characters, interactive environment, interesting lore and awesome combat. Plus all of them are free, that's awesome.

Had a CoD Cold War sesh with a couple of mates last night. Since picking it up over Christmas I haven't played much else really. It almost feels like it's eating into time I should be spending with other games but it's so good I can't help myself ... if I have a spare hour or two then it's what I want to play.

Some players though. Playing Hardpoint last night and there was a sniper who was aiming and shooting so fast it wasn't human. He was stupidly lethal. 80odd kills or something. Insane.

Last few days been playing my way through paper Mario origami king, 15 hours in and it’s been pretty fun so far. The environments are really fun to explore I love the paper aesthetic. They feel cozy, the battle system is a bit annoying sometimes though especially with the bosses I don’t find the wheel mechanic that fun especially when the timer is constantly ticking, yeah you can pay to extend it but it’s still annoying.

Apart from that it’s been a fun adventure so far and there have been a couple of times where I have laughed at the dialogue.

Cheating? Read the game has a real problem with that.

                        This week... who knows

                        Switch
Bowser's Fury, now 50+ shines into it so largely mopping up as I have a good read on each locations objectives loop.

                        PlayStation 5
Lego Dimensions is still to be continued but it's best played in small doses so might dabble and clear some of the F2P bump in the consoles memory.

                        PC
Several titles need playing but I'm unsure what to start, really I'd probably be best finally starting Twin Mirror or Medium

Pikmin 3 - Playing through this again, on the Switch this time, and I hardly remember anything about it. Great. It reminds me of the early import GameCube days and playing the first game. And much as I loved that I found the enforced deadline was at odds with the happy, relaxing gameplay. 3 has just enough urgency and incentive to get as much out of a day as possibly without it ever feeling like a chore. Mooching around the outdoors, slowly dominating the space, it's a wonderful change of pace from CoD I spend months at a time away from the Switch but I always love it to go back to

Been playing the old 360 version of PREY on the XB1. Why did I always think this was 60fps???! It's 30, always has been, but a smooth 30! Still looks great but there's a FOV prob, I'm not sure it can be altered (????)

Either way, I'm not gonna be too picky, I remember this being a great little game when I first got my 360, and I'd like to try the reboot cos it's cheap and looks very much up my alley.

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order (XBO)

Wowzers. Looks gorgeous and it’s 60fps. I’d been itching for an action rollercoaster game after finishing Halo 5 and this is definitely it. Parrying Storm Trooper laser shots feels great, and cauterising indigenous species hasn’t got old yet.

My robot pal, BD-1, is adorable
