Add to that the mechanic of choosing a new buff after every round (they all stack) and you’ve got an infinite amount of runs and builds. It’s so addictive and so much fun to play (especially on Switch for the pick-up portability goodness). The dlc takes an already amazing game to another level.
Finally bought this after faffing for years.

I really liked it on Xbox, then it dropped off Game Pass, so had it on my wishlist for ages and it's been in and out of sales, but the current one is great, so bought that and the DLC.

Obviously I've not played it yet because I've been away and EDF needs 100%ing still.

I also bought Burnout Paradise for something like £1.79, so look forward to tucking into that too.

Wish I could spend more time gaming!

Since benching Helldivers 2 I've been clearing up storage space by working through Quest 3 short titles and arcade stuff so the completion list for April is going to be heaaauuuge.

Picked up Ufouria: The Saga 2 on Xbox last. It’s a new Hebereke game from Sunsoft. Gorgeous art style which looks like everything is made from fabrics. It’s a classic Sunsoft style platformer with a real charm to it. Steady pacing and progression with defeated characters joining you on your quest. These characters have abilities to aid Hebereke on his quest and can be swapped between freely.
The game also runs at 4K 120fps too so is super tight to play.

Have that one on switch it’s pretty fun and has a silly story. Like how you have to buy random stuff from the vending machines to make progress. Think this is a remake of a sfc game. I know they released the first one that was on fanicom on the eshop digital only sadly. Would have been nice if they had put it as a bonus on the remake.

All this pinball chat from wakka got me to dig out the FlipGrip and try out Demon's Tilt on the Switch that I bought last week.

I still don't really know what's going on, but it's definitely thrilling, like Bonestorm.

Demon's Tilt is really fun! I've had that for a couple of years on PC. Good reminder to play it again.

I've been playing Lies of P which I just picked up on a whim knowing vaguely what it was about (pinocchio soulslike)...: And well it has me totally engrossed this far (chapter 2).

I'm playing on Xbox via game pass on console and Deck running windows 11 and it's just wonderful to play.

Dragons Dogma 2 mainly on PS5 (160 hours so far!)

When I need a break, I've been gradually chipping (pardon the pun) away at my career in EA PGA Tour. I picked this up on the cheap in the current store sale. At first, I was bouncing off it due to my shots not doing what I expected. Now I have engaged brain more better, I am really enjoying the game and getting somewhere meaningful in my career.

I play on Tour difficulty, so no arcade extra power or spin mashing for me.

218 hours later and still absorbed in DQX it's amazing, feels like i have been playing the new content for ages but i seem to be only halfway through the V2 story but broken off to explore everywhere and totally level up all my chars. They are all approaching LV90 and all the other job classes i have levelled up to at least LV50. The fishing minigame & casino are 2 huge time sinks but fun as there's some really cool rewards for both. In DQ11 you could cheat the casino by just using gold to buy tokens and if you had enough gold you didn't need to even play the games.

Sadly in DQX they limited the max tokens you can buy from the casino to 1000 so you can't do it at all however i learned that you can break the casino slots if you amass enough tokens to get started. if you get about 20,000 then you can play constantly you will win more times than you lose the slots start to keep letting you win so it will keep going up so all you need is an autofire pad to keep the A button pressed to keep spinning and then bugger off and do something else while it amasses tokens for you so i have got out the hori RAP and used the turbo feature for the first time and left a little helper on the A button while i watch a few movies. I'll check back later to see how much he's won for me

The 'final-final badge challenge' level of Super Mario Wonder. The Special World levels felt like a great level of challenge but this is too much for me. Sending you back three levels when you die is obnoxious.

Edit: beat/cheesed it, having resorted to the easier option and playing as Nabbit (the last two or three badge sections were killing me). Landing on fast-moving bouncy platforms/fish is hard enough, but having to do it with an invisible player-character is just evil.
