    Bit of a recap...
When I got my PS5 I got demons souls and FF7R. Started playing through both of them but then I heard about dark souls 3 being 60fps so I installed that to have a look at. Ended up clearing it 3 times with different characters, then returned to Demon's Souls and cleared that (which is significantly harder than DS3 I think).
Now i have FF7R to return to, which is a bit daunting because I can't remember where I was or how the combat system works.
I also picked up Shadow of the Tomb Raider, which its a very good looking game from what I've seen so far.
I also have God of War installed and ready to go.
Also I do Ring Fit every night (probably not a game really) and the switch came with pikmin, which I want to play too.
Seem to have games coming out of my ass at the moment.

Me and my mate tanned SOR4 last night on XB1. I'm good, he's good, we just DEMOLISHED everyone!!!

Never played it in 2P before, it's loads easier but also gives you time to experiment with attacks a bit before you get battered again, the pacing is really nice throughout.

Now, I wanna do it again. See what else I can unlock. Superb game, pats on the back, wish I was an octopus.

Now, back on HOLLOW KNIGHT. Found a 'boss'. He smashed my head in the first moment I met him but I could tell straight from the off, all it needs is a bit of timing n' rhythm to counter that massive attack he has, total pulveriser he is.

I got mashed five times in a row but each time I robbed more and more energy off him.

I can sense this c*nt is not a boss at all. More a 'big enemy'. But whatever he is, IT is, he shall die.

I will go back this tomorrow.

      Or is it today already??!

Trying my hand at Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup and suitably getting my arse handed to me. I had a good run on my first play through but all subsequent runs end around the same time.

I'm getting used to it though and slowly learning the ridiculous amount of keyboard commands.

Found myself taking another pass at RESIDENT EVIL REVELATIONS, must be my fourth attempt and it's going well so far.

Playing the X360 version off the HDD of my modded 360. He stuck loads of cool games on it, just weird playing it in a non-legit way when I already own the digital version on my other 360 and the physical versions on both 3DS and PS3!!!!

I never really enjoyed it on the 3DS. I was screaming for more detail. But I'm finding the 360 version impressive, I'm rather actually enjoying it, plus it's got me on edge, the fear has more gravitas here.

I'm not gonna treat this as an epic Resi outing as I've played it before and it's not quite that. But it's still a meaty, fun blast to play and I think I'll likely clock it over the next few nights.

Goddamn, it's early on in the boat section and some creature's just squished someone and left blood spattered over the window of the room I'm about to enter.

I'm actually TENSE and I'm playing it on Casual with oodles of spare handgun ammo lying about 'cos I can't collect any more (I'm replete!) and I'm still tense.

              Survival Horror. What a feeling.

Haven't even touched a green herb yet. Haven't even been touched...by a monster, that is. What a pussy.

Disaster averted. It was two of them zombie fish-blokes.

Emptied about five or six shots into each of their brains. And a couple in their knackers, for good measure. Plenty of ammo around, tally ho!

STILL have not touched a herb. Nor been touched by a monster. But the tension is still extant, somewhat puzzlingly.

I got started with Crash Bandicoot 4 yesterday.

                    Things I like:

                    - It's quite difficult, right from the beginning. It feels very much in that DKC category of reasonably tough platformers.
                    - The graphics look great. That new engine they pulled together for N.Sane Trilogy really is top notch.
                    - It's fun! I haven't played a Crash in 20+ years and I forgot how much fun these games are.

                    Things I don't like:

                    - Every time I play a platformer that isn't Mario, I'm reminded of just how good Mario is. Crash's jumps, attacks, pitfalls and enemies aren't as precise, fair or clear as Mario's. And it's annoying.
                    - It runs at 1080/60 on PS5, supposedly in HDR although I can't see much evidence of that. The framerate is good but it's noticeably soft and the colours feel a bit flat. Basically I've been spoiled by Demon's Souls in this regard!
                    - The sound design is a bit weird in surround sound. Box smashing comes out of the rears for some reason. Kind of a small thing I guess.

                      More GTA Online.
Finally filled my car export garage so that every car I now collect is the top-range for more cash.
Cash is king in GTA Online, sheesh.

Started doing the new island mission, which is a lot of fun.
It's starting to feel like they want to make a James Bond game, rather than a car stealing game.
The casino heist has a secret planning room hidden behind a fortune teller arcade machine, the Doomsday Heist uses submersible supercars launched from an underground base and the Cayo Perico Heist needs you to buy a submarine, that has a helipad elevator you can land on.

The first mission sees you go to a rave at the island and sneak out to start scoping the place out and what you can steal.

Then you go back and raid it, but it's best if you go in silent, so it's really tense hiding from the guard patrols and helicopters.

It's a great way to make money fast, though, once you know what you're doing, which is good, because I feel like I'm saving my money up to buy warehouses etc. to make more money to buy other money-making buildings, when realistically, I want to by buying all the wonderful toys.

Never played the series before but thought I'd give Hitman III a punt (esp after seeing the Chongqing level, wow). Did the training missions last night and started the first mission in Dubai. Prior to starting i set the tips to minimal and entered the high-rise. Spent ages taking out the first of two targets after manipulating him from a distance into stepping out onto an outdoor platform to hit some golfballs.

I think the fun is in being creative and being slick, so repetition will deffo be a factor. For now though I'm just trying to get the job done. Bish bash bosh.

                          Halo 5 (XSS)

I finished this a few days ago and it was bloody wicked. The sense of scale is immense(especially with those huge, floating guardians in the distance) and the game was an absolute rollercoaster from start to finish.

I wasn’t impressed with the music in Halo 4, but there are one or two tracks I liked(“117” in particular). Halo 5’s soundtrack is fantastic, and it uses some old Halo themes - there’s one near the end that mixes the 117 song with Bungie Halo theme. It’s beautiful:

Bought Rayman Legends (NSW) and am enjoying it with my wife. It’s so nice to look at and play.

Speaking of my wife, she’s been practising Mario Kart 8 (NSW) and we’re much more evenly matched than even a month ago. We’ve played a few cups every evening and I no longer feel the need to apologise after flinging a red shell at her

I got Spiderman (to add to the list of stuff to play.) Id be lying if I said I wasn't enjoying it, but I can't put my finger on why. It's pretty basic when you break it down. I guess it's just fun.

On the first of my four days off and back on RESIDENT EVIL REVELATIONS on 360.

It's a lush game, have managed to surpass the furthest point I played it to on 3DS in like 2014, the stressful "maydayyyyy...MAAAAYDAAAAAYYY" siegey bit. I've been stressed about this bit, been dreading it as I found it to be an irritating difficulty spike on the handheld but not here with decent controls.

Funnily enough, I had three dreads about playing this, ie. the annoying, difficult bits:

First off, the bit where you're fighting off loadsa dogs in the snow. Annoying on 3DS but better here.

Second off, the aforementioned "mayday" bit.

Third off, the bit when you're in that dismal ship and you've lost your weapons and you've got to tediously go up and down a few samey floors for an hour, avoiding monsters.

Except that bit actually isn't in Resi Revelations. It's actually in Resi 7 and I'm a dumbarse.

Still makes me laugh seeing that guy who looks like Dubya, what were they on when making the character design choices in this game???

Anyway, still a ruddy great game and even better now I've overcome that roadblock that thwarted my progress before!!!

Even more better...just heard those glorious words..."Magnum ammo". Just found some on a table.

Must be close to a Magnum, I adore Resi Magnums!!!!!!
