Started GTAV Online with my mates last night in our weekly co-op/catch-up session.

Holy smokes it's confusing - so much noise, especially compared to RDR2.
The beeps and bangs and booms and burnouts!
    Beep* do this!
    Beep* Go here!
    Beep* I have a mission
    Beep* Here's a race

I stood there reading the tsunami of messages, only for another player to kill me, a level 1 character.
He was in a GUNSHIP DROPPING BOMBS!

Seriously, there's a serious lack of policing in the town.

There's a real mix of activities though, lots more than RDR.
In one night, we played darts, robbed a drug deal, went to the casino, did some survival missions and had a race.
The races were ridiculous, like those Forza Hot Wheels courses.

Ultimately, we were initially confused, bullied and overwhelmed, but as we found our feet, we started having a lot more fun and were crying with laughter by the end.

By playing this, I forgot to do the daily RDR2 Online challenge, thus ending my 40+ day streak!
Glad to be free of the obligations, but I really have enjoyed spending more time in the Wild West, because it's actually quite relaxing!

I remember Playing GTA Online on the ps3 with a bunch of guys I worked with. It was probably one of the most chaotic and hilarious activities I've ever done.
It was just a wall of explosions, gunshots, police chases and helicopters. At one point a guy turned up with an ice cream van as a get away car.

30% through the main story in Spider-Man already. Really enjoying it though I do need to stop being so gung-ho in the combat as I often find myself getting an ass whooping that could've been easily avoided had I been more tactical! Really is a great looking game, and there is something a little joyous about just web slinging your way around New York.

Currently enjoying Pikmin 3 Deluxe. It's a joyous, well crafted little game.

It is brilliant. The never-unfair-but-punishing difficulty, the skintight mechanics, the alluring yet oppressive environments, it's sheer obliqueness, and the way it gets under your skin... it's all very rewarding, all very much like Dark Souls

Reached Victory Road with Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu. It took a little while to get used to catching Pokemon without fighting them but its been fun as it's own little thing.

It’s beautiful, isn’t it? And even seeing certain repeated animations doesn’t get boring. I have a huge grin every time Spidey stops a car with his web - tires screeching, smoke everywhere...

Started off the stranded deep again as i decided to actually put some time into it now i have gotten to grips with the controls, quite a struggle at first just trying to stay alive as i keep running out of food & water and my starting island is rapidly been stripped of everything, i decided to brave it to the nearest island to mine in the life raft. Terrifying doesn't quite sum it up as i slowly paddle to the next island my raft gets violently bumped from underneath by sharks i was praying they didn't tip it over it's a very unsettling feeling but i managed to avoid becoming a lunchtime snack. Made it to the island and there's lots of new stuff on including animals that are doing their best to kill me. Pigs snakes & giant crabs all trying to beat each other to making me their next meal.

Love survival games especially ones with deep survival/crafting systems this one and the long dark are the best in the genre. Really wish the next subnautica would come out but i have a feeling it's not gonna make it to ps4 now as it's been years since it was announced.

Dark souls 3: fired this up just to see what 60fps was like and got sucked in. I feel guilty for playing this while I have Demon souls but the heart wants what the heart wants.

FF7 remake: Not sure what to think of this. Its a constant flow of pros and cons. Ill carry on and see how it pans out.

Days gone: I want to like this, I really do, but it makes it hard to.

Hypnospace Outlaw. Kind of a cross between Phoenix Wright and Papers Please set in late 1990s fictional internet, in which your job of rooting out copyright/bullying (etc.) infringements soon uncovers a deeper web of intrigue. Visually and thematically it's fantastic, but it's a genuine pain to play with a controller so I'm not sure how much more I'll put up with. I imagine the constant trawling through pages is better on PC with keyboard and mouse.

Finally sat down for some proper gaming time with my Series S:

                      Forza Horizon 4

It’s beautiful and wicked fun, but the UK setting is very peculiar. It looks like the UK, but it all feels American, like they decided mid-way through to just up and change the setting. Things like the DJs(although some are English, and one mentioned Jaffa cakes) and the live music festival. Also, unskippable cutscenes in a driving game!?!? Seriously? I get that it’s more like a drive-venture game than a regular racing one, but crikey. Apparently that might not be to hide the loading, either. But when you’re actually racing it’s divine.

                      Hotshot Racing

Didn’t like it, and I have Outrun 2 when I want to do some crazy drifting. And FH4.

                      Tetris Effect Connected

Stunning. I turned the lights off at one point and it was bananas. A feast for eyes and ears(with earphones).

I’m downloading the 10 hour trial of Star Wars Squadrons and am looking forward to that. Plus, it’s really cheap right now.

Spider-Man really hitting the spot, best game I’ve played in a while. I reckon I’ll get long term out of it and then I’ll move on to the new one if it’s any good.

I'm also on Spider-Man, although it's not grabbed me yet.

Last night I activated the last data post and found the last backpack.
I found it hilarious that I'm such a crap superhero, resolutely ignoring every single police transmission and plea for help as I'm just enjoying swinging across town looking for collectables!

I think I'll have to invest in the story a bit if I want to get into it more.
Great decision to base NYC in the "magic hour" as it looks glorious as opposed to Gotham's eternal rainy night in Arkham Knight and LEGO Batman 2 (although I absolutely loved AK).

Pretty much the same as me but I've left Hot Shots Racing alone and I've moved on to Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered. That is a bit ugly on the eyes as the crisp detail just shows up how bad the textures were back in the day... but at 60fps it's still got the goods in the game play department.

Played Arms Race on that with a load of randoms and it was like dinner with an old friend, really good fun.

Yeah, but despite what The Crow says, in Gotham, it can rain all the time.
