    Jurassic Park VII

Since the first “Jurassic World” hit, those involved have spoken about the films as a trilogy and so next year’s “Jurassic World: Dominion” has long been seen as not just the ‘World’ trilogy’s closing effort but also that of the “Jurassic Park” franchise as a whole. That no longer appears to be the case according […]

The uber-naive may have thought that next years Jurassic World: Dominion would be the final film ever in the now billion dollar per film making blockbuster series from the studio that has made nine Fast and Furious films with no less than five more in the works but producer Frank Marshall has instead said that next years film is instead the beginning of a new era for Jurassic Park as Universal no doubt spares no expense.

Colin Trevorrow’s upcoming “Jurassic World Dominion” is serving as the conclusion of not just the “Jurassic World” trilogy, but the prior “Jurassic Park” trilogy as well. That’s partly why the likes of Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum are reprising their roles as it’s the end of an era for the franchise. That said, […]

Frank Marshall expands on his earlier comments by saying that Dominion will be used to bring the Jurassic World trilogy to an end, additionally it will bring the Jurassic Park saga from the original trilogy onward to a close as well which is why the main cast of the first film are returning too., The seventh film will launch a new era for the franchise but they will be placing a pause on the films for a while whilst they plan the direction they want the seventh film onward to take.

Universal is said to be moving fast with the script from Koepp, who penned Steven Spielberg's original 'Jurassic Park' and its 1997 sequel.

The next film is said to be now hurtling toward production with the wait now on for a director to be chosen. Frank Marshall will return to produce the film whilst David Koepp, the script writer of the original film and the second entry, is said to have penned this installment.

Leitch In Talks To Direct New "Jurassic World" - Dark Horizons
David Leitch is said to be lined up to direct the next entry which sounds like it will leave the World trilogy behind and begin a new arc that takes place after the last film (sadly)

I did like his Godzilla, but it was pretty dark (visually) and most of it was set at night.

Where are we at with the story now? In the last film, didn't the dinos escape the island and now they're living alongside man, doing stuff like acting as needles on stone record players and mining for gravel?

Yep, we're probably about two films away from:

Honestly, Universal's push to go further and further post-Park is a heartbreaker. There are plenty generic dino related films and they all fail, non-Park related JP films just come across as more of those. The 'Dinosaurs in the real world' scenario really isn't that interesting, especially further down the line where in reality most would just be the equivalent of wild animals and the most dangeous all shot or put in confinement. I still feel a JP-JW abridging series of films is the best way to go if they insist on making more.

It's a world set in the future where dinosaurs visit parks where humans are the caged attractions, but some of them start getting smart and try to escape their pens...

We don't know who struck first, us or them. But we do know it was the humans that scorched the sky.

I hope the writers of Jurassic World 4 are reading this thread as we're providing lots of great and highly original concepts for them.
