    Evil Dead Rise

Irish filmmaker Lee Cronin, who helmed 2019’s acclaimed horror spooker “The Hole in the Ground,” has been set as the writer and director of the next “Evil Dead” film. Actor Bruce Campbell, who has played the lead character of Ash Williams in the film and TV series, spoke with Empire this week who asked him […]

Irish director Lee Cronin has been hired to helm Evil Dead Now, the next installment in the Evil Dead franchise. Campbell revealed the information but hold that excitement once more as it sounds like the new film will neither be Evil Dead 4 to the originals nor Evil Dead 2 to the reboot, instead being a new reboot of the property once again.

So far it seems so, other than for box office reasons it'll be interesting to see the differences as to why this one would be so disconnected from the last reboot - assuming it will take place in a cabin again

Well, it's not Evil Dead then. Bruce is what made evil dead what it is.

Following news earlier this month that a new “Evil Dead” film is coming, franchise star and producer Bruce Campbell has confirmed some details and offered up some new ones. Speaking with Diabolique, Campbell says the official name is now “Evil Dead Rise” and it will be a standalone film with a whole new setting far […]

Evil Dead Now is now called Evil Dead Rise and will not take the franchise back to the famous cabin in the woods.

This has the smell of a script that's been kicked around for a while and then someone had the idea of slapping 'Evil Dead' on it to get it over the line.

The new “Evil Dead” film is swapping the forest for the urban jungle. Actor Bruce Campbell was on hand for a Q&A at an “Evil Dead” screening at the Mahoning Drive-In Theater recently where he briefly talked about the new film in the franchise. Both Campbell and Sam Raimi are producing the project, dubbed “Evil […]

It’s official, a new film in the “Evil Dead” franchise is on the way with “Evil Dead Rise” at the franchise’s original home with New Line Cinema. Though franchise star Bruce Campbell won’t appear, the new film builds off the original trilogy rather than the 2013 reboot. The story follows two estranged sisters (Alyssa Sutherland […]

The film will start production next month and launch via HBO Max in the US and Canal Plus in the UK. It's now pitched as unrelated to the reboot and an expansion on the original trilogy, not a sequel to it.

If Bruce is not in it then it isn't evil dead in my opinion. He was the man who made evil dead what it is.
