So far it seems so, other than for box office reasons it'll be interesting to see the differences as to why this one would be so disconnected from the last reboot - assuming it will take place in a cabin again

The film will start production next month and launch via HBO Max in the US and Canal Plus in the UK. It's now pitched as unrelated to the reboot and an expansion on the original trilogy, not a sequel to it.

If Bruce is not in it then it isn't evil dead in my opinion. He was the man who made evil dead what it is.
