Again, a quality couple of years in the arcades. So many top notch beat em ups.

And Wonder Boy III is a gem for the ages.

Being honest, as with the previous poll, I could find reasons to vote for more than half the list (and if all my future gaming was limited solely to titles on either list, would be pretty great really).

Sod it, I'm voting for half the list.
      It's a multiple choice poll!

The only reason I'm hesitant is I'm not sure if some of these are arcade or home conversions.

For example, TMNT arcade is amazing. The Amiga game, with its endless disc swapping, was not.

How am I the only person who picked Super Mario 3? Am I thinking of the wrong game? It's one of the best games ever made!

Anyway, I also gave nods to Prince of Persia, SimCity, Treasure Island Dizzy and Populous.

Fred Savage's brother had to play this at the end of The Wizard and he'd never played it before, so I'm marking it down for giving him unnecessary stress.

Shinobi wasn't released in 1988 or 1989 though.

He said he was adding a few missed in the previous polls to this one...

June 88 on the Master System?

Think there are some arcade games and home releases in the latter years of these polls.

Maybe Wonderboy in Monsterland should be in this poll though technically it's 87. Buy I consider the arcade version one of the GOATS and one of my all time favourites.

Anywho, out of the list above I spent far too much time playing a load of these. Toobin was an interesting one, the day it arrived in the arcade my mate (who worked there) and I basically spent the next few hours smashing it. I never played it much after that though the phrase Tubular Dude has stuck in my mind for decades
