Highest daily since 7th May now, 2.6% of tested at 4,926. It was 8% of tested at 5614 then looking at my spreadsheet, but we know from Hancock that there are loads of fakers that don't need tests bringing the percentage down - he said it himself

This whole thing is really exposing how basic some people are. I saw lots of people complaining about early pub closures and using the numbers, the cold hard facts, to back it up - that most transmissions happen in the home rather than in pubs. Like it's not the case that people get it outside the home and then bring it home and infect everyone, nope. We shouldn't be closing pubs, businesses, grouse hunts or what have you. We should be locking people out of their homes. That would stop this virus dead.

It's that golden hour of 10-11pm where it happens which Johnson has thankfully saved us from. He said it himself "The spread of the disease does tend to happen later at night"

          A snitch in time.

10,000 per day cases within the fortnight?

What is going on in the North? The NHS figures for both the NW and NE of England show way above average C-19 hospitalisations over the last month and particularly in the last week. Both make up around 28% of the total each with the Midlands (18%), Greater London (16%) and between them the rest of the S & SE, East Anglia and SW only 10% in total.

That is a strange disparity but it still has to be pointed out that the total number of hospitalisations in England connected with C-19 ie. currently occupying hospital beds (no stats on ventilated patients yet), at least up to 20.09.20, is still only 237.

Interesting statistic amongst that is admissions from Care Homes makes up only 2.5% ie. 6 people in total.

In the North there's a huge dismissal of anything the Government says. No sign of lovkdown no matter what the media says

                  Just seen that

Chauffeur-driven cars will be exempt from new laws forcing passengers to wear masks
Pressumably the passengers don't want to be inconvenienced on their way to their Grouse hunts.

If anyone was ever in any doubt about there being one rule for the rich and... there's no point in my finishing that. Nobody ever had any doubt. Not a shred. The sooner we tear down this charade of a society, the better. Let's pencil it in for, let's see, the first day after the pandemic looks good. Some time after 11am?

My parents always complained that they were chauffeurs when I was a young'un, perhaps that's what it refers to and anything else is an overreaction.

And boom - headshot. 6178 new infections (2.8% of tested), just 23 from the 1st May high of 6,201 (4.8% of tested). It's another real increase in numbers, rather than it being a result of testing levels alone.

Should've put money on it back in June. Insane increase and completely forseeable, this is definitely out of their control now. Second Wave isn't when, it's how many months for now.

                          Brexit news:

"NEW Gove confirms a de facto internal border in Kent - rephrasing previous tweet (this is something transport industry been v worried about)

Truckers will have to have a "Kent Access Permit" to get into the county says Gove. It will use police and ANPR to enforce

This Kent Access Permit will be issued once trucker has completed their paperwork.

But sources in industry say it is impossible to implement unless police patrol the Kent border. They have asked govt to explain this. This is first time govt has said police will be used"

Why is everyone stressing about lorry queues?
"Truckers will have to have a "Kent Access Permit" to get into the county says Gove."
No ****ers are ever going to come here as nobody will want our more expensive tariffed products in Europe and we won't be able to afford any products coming in - so no traffic either way, sorted!

Starmer finally begins an approach of taking Labour against Conversatives - essentially, it's all the Tories fault for Wave 02
