We can only meet other households in outdoor public spaces like parks, where the rule of six applies.

    So let's get creative!

Let's order a Domino's Pizza to be delivered to IKEA, where we can all meet up, then head down to Curry's to watch a film on their massive tellies!
    Sounds like hell hahahahaha!

I've been driving the missus to the big shopping centre on an evening, which is open more-or-less only for the supermarket and a few other things (mostly click-and-collect only). We walk round the deserted centre and peer through the closed shop windows for a while, then go to the McDonalds in the food court (which has remained open almost solely for delivery drivers) and get coffee/burgers to have in the car. It's probably mental, but it keeps us amused.

You know the funny thing about this map is it is the exact opposite of the General Election Result of 2019 in England with the Blue Wall...Imagine the utter horror if the Lib Dems actually did get in under Swinson!

Growing tired of Pro Guardian bias in this thread...needs some balance...at least use The Independent from now and again Le Monde, El Mercurio, or The Times that is a Centrist publication.

Guardians just easy to get stories from without ads, paywalls etc. The news comes from the links but the discussion comes from the forum, it's why I always avoid their opinion pieces.

You have to pay for quality news The Guardian is leftism in written form.

VOX is a good site. Free too albeit American centric.

Well, if you'd like to keep this thread and others up to date multiple times per day with the latest headlines for discussion, like NI does, feel free!

NI does a great job, and it's a pretty thankless task (especially when you get people just moaning about it). Keeps the discussions on the site ticking over really effectively.

The 5PM Update Top Story Snippet The Times

Boris Johnson has said a new year lockdown would be needed without a tougher tier system under which indoor socialising will be banned across 99 per cent of England.

The prime minister warned against “taking our foot off the throat of the beast” as he defended moving 28 million people previously subject to the lowest levels of restrictions up into Tiers 2 and 3 when the current lockdown ends next week.

Chris Whitty, the chief medical officer for England, urged people not to hug elderly relatives at Christmas “if you want them to survive to be hugged again”.

No need to increase your input! I was speaking rhetorically. Just pointing out NI does a good job and sparks a lot of discussion on the forum, even if the website he pulls stories from wouldn't be the ones you'd personally choose to read.

What have any of you done?

Me? Well, thanks for asking. I had a nice breakfast, did some exercise and then got one of my kids ready for school. I’m easing into a new job while also working through my remaining freelance work so Thursday is freelance day. It went pretty well and I made progress. Didn’t get to really take lunch time though. Then I got stuck into painting my little plastic space guys and had dinner and now I’m posting here.

Sharing is good. Thanks for kicking this off.

I sold Final Fantasy III on the forum, went to the gym with a treadmill, ERG and bike workout for Cardio, did a long country walk and worked hard online. Plus talked Transformers and Zoids here with Dogg and others...that was the best part!

I got my PSVR in the post today... but now have to wait for the PS5 adaptor to arrive in order to get some more of that sweet Astroboy goodness.

Re: The Tiers, I hate that all media outlets refuse to just call out obvious political moves for what they are. The Tiers clearly exist now in a manner as to keep in place a soft lockdown because Government clearly thinks lockdown should remain in place but they need to pave the way for the Xmas break justification. The threats are empty because at this point Lockdown 3 is inevitable in the new year, they just want to pander to the Xmas public then blame them come mid-late Jan.
