Not the fake one from Direct to DVD days of old, an actual sequel is in the works because of course it is. The new film will be set decades later than the original and will star Jennifer Grey reprising her role as a grown up contemporary Baby. Along with shattering fans dreams of the love romance of the original, because naturally Swayze won't be in it, the film aims to be a romantic, nostalgic follow up.

They remade this film about three years ago. It popped up on something like Netflix or Prime the other day. Didn’t know it existed before that.

There was Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights in 2004 which had everybody's favourite Star Wars rascal Diego Luna in it.

There was also a 2017 remake of the original with the eldest daughter from Modern Family, Grace from Will 'n' Grace as well as Nicole Scherzinger.
