The price is definitely a barrier that’s some serious money for a risky purchase the neogeo x was appallingly bad. Maybe I should just do what I originally intended and get a mini as I really only wanted to play the slug games it’s not perfect but it’s still decent enough.

You might as well get the Neo-Geo Arcade Stick Pro then, surely?

A cheaper and better product than the Neo-Geo Mini and the Metal Slug games are on it, though I do believe that you'd have to unlock them - easily done from what I can understand.
