    Any good SCART boxes?

I was just looking for a scart box were I could plug about 4 consoles in at once then connect to the single cable into my CRT. The consoles would be Megadrive, SNES etc. I was just wondering if there are any cheapo ones that would do the job off say Amazon that are not going to reduce the picture quality.

    Many thanks.

I have used loads of the years and this was probably the best

This was about £70 back in the day.

The cheapo ones will give you diagonal interference and build quality isn’t great.

You can get really gaming specialised ones like the hydra or gscart but they are expensive, if you don’t want to open the wallet up.

I can vouch for this one - I had one back in the day and recently picked one up on eBay for a tenner. It's very good if quite physically large, and auto switches nicely too.

Agreed - I used on right up to last year and they are great. RGB out to 2 sources as well, although one of the scart ports in, wasn’t RGB enabled.

Another vote for Bandridge from me. it was recommended to me on here last year I think and has been excellent for the price (about £25).

the only downside is it being powered but the audio out was great to go to my old 2.1 amp

If you have money to spend, get one of these: https://www.lotharek.pl/productdetail.php?id=124
I have one, and among all the SCART switches I have or had (includind the excellent Joytech 965AV), it's the best.

                    The gscart is pretty amazing!

gscartsw This is an 8-port dual-output SCART switch made specifically for retro-gaming, that's sold by superg (not me).  I strongly recommend it for anyone who has multiple consoles.  Pre-orders are currently open: gscartsw - $240 Purchase yours here:  https://retrorgb

If you can wait, then I would get this.

I use the non powered Banbridge and ita perfect tbh and has some niceties like separate audio out jacks, nifty I using a pro monitor etc with no built in audio.

I had a look into that Quintro Pro switcher, and it looks like one of the SCART ports is RGB-enabled on output only. Why?

I'm currently using a 4 RGB SCART + 1 AV/S-Video Vivanco auto switcher which is really decent. But, I might get a couple more consoles hooked up down the line. Is there anything with 5+ RGB inputs that isn't gonna totally break the bank?

Alternatively, can you theoretically daisy-chain SCART switchers together without noticeable loss in picture quality if they're decent enough?
