All of a sudden I really want a GG Micro. That’s four of the very best 8 bit shmups. Especially PowerStrike 2 and GG Aleste 2. I know it’s unlikely but it would be great to use the FM soundtrack from MkIII Aleste with PowerStrike 2.

I wonder if M2 will add 120Hz support in Aleste Branch? Surely if any genre needs the high frame rate that’s the one.

The first play's already steered into talk about Aleste Branch, but thought I'd bring this thread back up to talk about this...

Unlike Branch though, disappointingly there's no talk yet for a home version of this though.

This looks brilliant, any more talk of a western ketsui release?

It's available on the US PSN here but isn't available for EU/UK. I think I've seen it confirmed that the Japanese physical release did not get an update with English language, if that might've swung your purchasing decision!

Re: Senxin Aleste, more details came out of an M2 livestream earlier this week.

Surely they won’t keep Senjin Aleste as an arcade only title for long? This needs to get ported to every possible system. Looks absolutely tremendous.
