If The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King were a 40 minutes shorter tighter edit, that would have my vote. But it isn't and the last hour nearly sent me to sleep in the cinema.

I was also almost tempted with School of Rock and Love, Actually. They are guilty pleasures along with Groundhog Day and About a Boy from different years.

In the end though, Kill Bill Vol. 1 - it really is another very nuanced film from Tarantino, little easter eggs in it that you spot on repeat watchings. And Big Fish which is a very clever film and story.

I agree with all of that.

I don't like Love, Actually and I'm subjected to it by my wife each year to indicate the start of Christmas, but I like that she likes it and makes her happy.

School of Rock breaks so many laws, but it's a great film and Black is brilliant in it. Awesome soundtrack too.

Return of the King had 18 endings.

Kill Bill 1 is brilliant in so many ways.

For a film about rock & roll there is no greater endorsement
