What I love about this cover is how it takes the source material and builds on it rather than going for the facsimile approach. Totally dig the freestyling, it’s so god damn cool.

That Passing Breeze one is brilliant!! As it happened I was looking for decent Outrun covers the other day and couldn’t find any with proper orchestration - all I could find were people playing a single instrument to a backing track.

Back in 1991, the Pixies covered the Theme from Narc. This theme was in the NES version, not sure about the arcade version.

Apologies, they are the end songs in Portal and Portal 2.
There are a mix of cool versions, including the one below, but I wanted to capture the crowd response from Jonathan Coulton playing it live and the amazing sound of the orchestra in the second.

I actually really like Coulton's voice and his 2011 album 'Artificial Heart' contains both these tracks, along with some other tracks with equally clever lyrics.

Portal 2 was bloody brilliant and I was quite emotional by the time the end credits rolled.
