That's the big one, sadly in America lots of people - usually black men - are locked up and are completely innocent. You then have Innocence Projects to try and get them out, I've just finished a Grisham called The Guardians which is a good read and based on his work to help these poor buggers get freedom. for those doubting the above the book also talks about one of the aims to destabilize the UK is to cut it off from Europe, we already know their was Russian interference in the Brexit vote and that the Torys just didn't care.

Quite staggering that they've removed two US Army National Guards from the inauguration - I think I'm right in stating that the National Guard is the equivalent of the Territorial Army, making them voluntary reservists, but they're still members of the armed forces and with that would have taken a pledge of allegiance to uphold the US constitution, rather than burn it down.
