    You'd think enough films were stacked up waiting for release that gubbins concepts like this wouldn't be needed for a long while but apparently Warner Bros has decided that we need yet another Willy Wonka movie this time telling us the original tale we never asked to hear!

    Daft. They added this **** as a subplot in the Depp version, and it was **** there too.

      I'm waiting for the TV show about what the Willy Wonka world was like before Wonka was in it. Those are always great.

          Could be quite fun, their is loads in the book about his travels and how he rescued the umpalumpas from becoming extinct.

              Please, no. Even Dahl left the Wonka Extended Universe well alone after the awful second book (Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator) which was set up for a third that blessedly never came.
