        A year ago today:

The Prime Minister says the time has come for “drastic action”. Everyone must avoid pubs, restaurants and “non-essential” contact. People should work from home where possible; over-70s and those with health conditions must end all social contact for around 12 weeks “from next weekend”.

A PHE briefing seen by The Guardian says health service labs can’t cope with the demand for tests, so only the very seriously ill in hospital, care homes or prisons will be tested. Even NHS staff will not get a test. The WHO director-general says: “We have a simple message to all countries: test, test, test.”

Customers find they have a six-week wait for groceries as supermarket websites are overwhelmed and shelves in store are stripped bare.

        West End theatres close.

        Covid deaths: 16; total: 81

Disgraceful! We all know it's not real, a fuss about nothing, will be gone in a fortnight and that lockdowns don't work!

Wonderful. I'm due my first Vaccination on Friday but it hardly seems worth going after seeing that.

Having 180 nukes will only destroy the planet 10 times. Definitely need a bunch more.

That was my thought. Do we really need 280 nukes?? Pretty sure like 1 or 2 is enough to act as a deterrent.

I think a few get shot out of the sky so they "need" a few more to be sure. Or they need a few more because back room deals. There's no magic money tree though.

Yep. They can be shot out the sky and if they are then you are highly unlikely to get a nuclear detonation so best to have several hundred to be sure some get through.

If Britain wants to be seen as a serious threat on the world stage they’d be better spending the billions wasted on Trident setting up an elite cyber warfare unit.

Labour MP for Hartlepool, Mike Hill, used taxpayers' money to pay for court fees to fight a staff member's claims of unfair dismissal, sexual assault and harassment, so he's getting the boot.

He won in the 2019 GE with 15K votes.
Cons got 11K, Brexit got 10K.

The Brexit party are now Reform UK and the main policies of ending Lockdown seem irrelevant soon, so the question is where their voters will end up. Conservative or Labour.

Obviously, none of this corruption would have happened under Mayor H'angus The Monkey's watch.
