It's just a way of framing a discussion, DT. It's not like I'm standing as zealous advocate in court for poor, poor BoJo.

TIL that Channel 4 is not privately owned. I always thought it was.

These are the parts in bold are the ones that really piss me off the most, I might be a bit close to it as our company supplies PPE and is already part of the NHS supply chain, you would think a company like ours or the thousands of others that are already dealing with the NHS would be ideal to sort our procurement for a contract like this.

Yet we get some not some dog food company and a pest control company with no experience with PPE or the NHS. You can't argue that they put in the best offer either as the CEO of the pest control company was caught asking where he could get large quantities of PPE on LinkedIn so he clearly didn't have a ****ing clue.

Look at it another way If i wanted to buy a new TV I wouldn't go too Pets at Home throw a big sun of cash at them and ask them to nip next door to PC world and buy what they felt like, this is essentially what the goverment did by using these company's.

Johnson says the Indian variant of COVID could seriously disrupt lockdown easing. A threat that might work if they weren't telling everyone they can hug each other from Monday too. Is it starting to feel a little like history repeating?

SAGE has warned that it is a realistic possibility that the new variant could drive the UK back to hospitalisation levels similar to past peaks regardless of the vaccine rollout.

^ It'll be fine, there's a watertight plan: people in affected areas are being "urged to think twice" about socialising.
