However, not having PPE and entering any building 100% guarantees transmission of disease.

That Brew Dog thing is a real shame because I like their beer and they appeared pretty sound as a business, but loads of stuff has come out about them like interviewing marketing people who they asked to pitch them ideas. They didn't employ the people, but used their ideas anyway.
The applicants say the were asked for creative ideas during the job interview process which were later used in marketing campaigns for the Aberdeen-based brewery

Thanks for this reminder; when this story broke this week I knew I could remember them doing something else not too long ago that raised an eyebrow.
The thing is, there are always going to be an increase in cases following relaxing of rules. Even with 100% vacation you'll still get cases. I just wonder what the maximum acceptance level is?
They won't be rising exponentially like they're starting to do now tho, if you get the R rate down to close to zero - the problem is they've been opening up whilst the R rate was still around 1, that was never going to end well.
If there isn't much virus circulating and the vaccination rate is at herd immunity level, then opening up isn't as much of an issue - but neither of those things are the case.
