Best answer for PS2 on 4K without component

Hi all. I have the itch to play my PS2 stuff, but sadly I only have a component cable for it- which is good I hear you say! It’s better than scary and composite...!

I agree... but my Samsung KS8000 has a oneconnect box and no component or scart inputs...

    What’s my best option here?

I’ve seen some of these dongle type things that plug in, connect to the console via usb and you can plug a HDMI in- theyre hovering around £10-15 on eBay/Amazon- are they any good?

Ideally don’t want to spend the earth, and if I’m not so bothered about upscaling/AA and all the rest, a decent image comparable to the component cables is fine for me if I have to spend the earth to get more.

    Any ideas?

Honestly if you're not after the best quality, the HDMI outs are worth getting to try.

I'm gonna divide people here but I think trying to get the PS2 to have good output is trying to polish a turd. The console never had good output compared to the Dreamcast, Xbox or GameCube. Fidelity wasn't its strong suit.
