Great to see The World's End getting some love. I revisited it again recently and it resonated massively. It's just the best film about wanting to be 18 forever ... and delivers the most unexpected but satisfying of endings. Also, when Suede's 'So Young' kicks in it might just be the best use of a song in a film ... so perfectly placed, I've had the album in the car ever since. The Cornetto Trilogy has been cheapened by its residence on ITV2 but they're such gems, and I think The World's End is the most ballsy and underrated.

I love The World's End but, unlike you, I found the end disappointing. It was really that sequence where they basically just have a chat down the big pit thing. I found it a bit Star Trek Next Generation... maybe early season 2. But overall, I love the movie and I really identified with it. Probably too much.

I just got a certain amount of satisfaction that Gary

got his dream of forever knocking around with his young mates

. It's a film loads will identify with. Those feelings are in-built, whichever path you walked. The middle-age bloke in me also connected with Trainspotting 2 in a similar way. Maybe even more after seeing the characters when they were young in the first film, back when I was young too. The sequel is amazing in how it connects with the past of the characters and the viewers.

Oh totally! I adore the end ending, if you know what I mean. The part after that conversation. I should have said the climax more than the ending.
