Yoshi's story on N64 does it for me the japanese box is fantastic. It fully captures the hand made spirit of the game with its embroidered box look. & what does the west get, yes thats right crap-o-rama rendered version.

      Craptacular US box

      Spectacular japanese box

I really like the Knights of the Old Republic box art.

        Very artistic. Very Star Wars.

Ahhh, lucasarts the last bastion of western point & click adventures. I still have a few of those sitting in a cuboard somewhere.

Put a woman with big tits and a fit body on the front, sales guaranteed. I can just imagine RPG fans thinking " I hope I get to meet that tasty babe " as saliva dribbles down their chins.

Because sadly the pc market has changed for the worse where 2d games are concerned, i still play loads of old point & click adventures from lucasarts.

But today when you look around the pc section in places like game all you find are hundreds of look alike 3d shooters/racing games/war games ect ect...

Ahhh take me back to the 90's anytime.

She doesn't have big tits, she's not half-naked, and the focus of the picture is on her face (which I must say is indeed quite beautiful, but that's beside the point). The cheesecake factor in this cover is practically zero (compare to Sudeki, Dead or Alive, or some bad Megadrive boxart found in the retro forum's dedicated thread).

I agree with chosenone. This is some very good boxart, and it really does scream Star Wars. It has one flaw, though: Bastila has a very different haircut in the game (even a different face, actually -- I prefer the art one).

Oh, and... Put Star Wars on the front, sales guaranteed. ^^

If you don't think she's a fit busty babe, then you must have different standards. Big tits and likes to hold light-sabres, every male StarWars fans dream woman.

It's obvious why she is on the front as the main image. If I was some porn starved 14year old, I would probably be enticed to play a RPG where I get to show a woman like that my mighty light-sabre.

Her boobs are not big, especially by videogame art standards (and even by reality standards, she's got what I would call regular-sized breasts, not big -- big boobs are ugly).

Big tits are the girls from Dead or Alive, Lara Croft from Tomb Raider, Elexis Sinclaire from Sin, or Dark Mistresses from Dungeon Keeper. E. Honda from Street Fighter, too, but, er, well, you see what I mean.

Honestly, any person turning to the KotOR boxart to satisfy his pr0n needs is a very, very sad person. There is *no* visible flesh apart from the face, and I can think of several dozen boxarts that are more erotic than this. Bastila, like Mona Sax, belongs to the category of female VG characters who try to make you like/love them through other means than a skimpy leather outfit barely covering a fully-oiled body of comic book proportions.

(unlike Mona Sax, though, she utterly fails. Not even 5 minutes after meeting her for the first time, you already want to kill her.)
