'Winds of Thunder' is the best shooter ever!

I had both wind of thunder and gate of thunder on PCE but sold them both. They never really did anything for me, seemed so generic. Terrible, terrible soundtracks too. Heavy metal rubbish which was truly painful.

I think the shooter is still evolving still getting better. Ikaruga and Radiant Silvergun, as well as Gradius IV and Psyvariar 2 are alll top quality shooters, better for me than virtually all the 16 bit shooters. (must mention Thunderforce 4 though, which was ridiculously good)
