Import/Specialist games shops in your Area

In london they seem to have all dispeared! I guess because of the internet, is it the same in your area?

I only live a little outside london..but what there is on offer in Kingston blows big time.


There's a CEX with a splatter of retro games..maybe 1/2 a shelf.

Then there's a GamesX..some good stuff..but typically overpriced (?65 for Shining Force 3...?60 Saturn Metal Slug..not the boxset versionand no spine etc).

Other than that..sweet fa.

PS - Anyone ever frequent The Games Room in Epsom..used to be in the covered market, then moved to near the record shop...then disappeared. Real shame as the owners were pretty nice and they really got me into the md back in the day...even had panorama coton for sale all those years ago.

Only one we had (bar the micro centre & Genesis games in small bursts) was South Coast consoles, they even advertised in CVG for such a small shop....been shut for liek 10 years now.

Used to get my PC Engine Hu's there, tho tbh i prolly exhanged in better games than I got back (Final Soldier for F1 Pilot bleh, that made me more than upset heh)

GamesX - just keep walking round the corner from CEX (as if going towards the station)..its the shop at the end of the little parade that has all the second hand hifi stuff etc on the ground floor/window display..go in and walk up the spiral staircase......theres a bigger branch in Croydon I believe.

OT..but seems like there's maybe a few Kinston cadets on the forum..potential meet material?
