I played all the Gears from start to finish this year.
I think 1 was amazing, but graphically it is becoming dated texture wise. Some of the buildings on the inside look horrendous at times.
I really liked the emotional moments in 2 and 3. The Cole Train running through the stadium brought a tear to the eye.
If I had to pick, I think number 2 was the best game for me...save the anti climax of the final battle.
Number 4 though...urgh. No. Just no. The best bit was the part where you played the story from number 3.
4 just didn't work. Plus they changed the control for the worse.
Gears is a series I will miss greatly now that I'm in the PS camp. But after number 4, I'm hoping I won't be missing too much.
