    I hope this is the right place to ask about what inspired the artwork people behind the classic Grim Fandango to come up with the style in this particular scene.

        It will probably have been the Berlin Dada movement of the 1920s, in particular the photomontage and collage work of George Grosz, John Heartfield and especially Hannah Hoch. It's very reminiscent of Hoch's work.

                                The colours on the background are lovely. Really nice texture too but I do think Megaman sits really nicely on top.
