Fave shmup ship?

Seen some great pics in this section of the forum of old shmups.

It's got me thinking about what are people's fave ships?

I'm allowing you two choices - box art and in-game graphics - as sometimes the graphics in the game don't meet the promises made by the picture on the box!

I'm sure you've all got loads to suggest, R-Type, Mr. Heli, Tiger Shark etc.

If you've got pics to back up your choice, you get 1UP.

I always liked the Silver Hawk from Darius myself, the choppers from Prehistoric Isle 2 aswell. The R-9 is decent, but it's bettered many times in R-Type Final. I can't remember the name of the one I like now.

There's loads I like, Opa-Opa is indeed great, and I'm partial to the planes from Air-buster. I'll have to think more on this one hmmmmmm.

Ive got a prickly angler in my pants, but my fave ship is the speeder bike thing in Download on PC Engine.

Great thread.... horizontal shooters, it has to be the R-9. Vertical, the ship from Gunhed on the PC-Engine.
