Yes, TimeSplitters 4 is in the works. It's a long way off and they're inviting people to apply to work on it but here's the blurb:

It's back! Featuring even more crazy characters, devastating weapons and heart pounding hot sweaty action. It's funny, it's frantic and it'll do things you've never seen before! No, not naked girls, even better than that! We can't tell you the details yet, the monkeys have a loaded banana pressed against our skull, but this game will take the first person shooter to gaming nirvana. Crytek UK (FRD) are looking for publishers for a new Timesplitters game (Which you have to assume they have at least SOME work from judging by this thread). Reading that post though it seems as though they're suggesting they take away the main unique selling point of Timesplitters to get their deal. Not sure if want, in that case.

Crytek has sold the franchise rights to Koch Media/THQ Nordic. In addition to the franchise they've also bought the rights to the one off game Second Sight. The company already houses many of the staffers who worked on the original games and has suggested they already have plans to bring the series back.

By the time a potential fourth game hits though it will presumably be on next gen consoles meaning a three generation absence. Will the Timesplitters prove to be Koch pleasers?

I'd say a port of Timesplitters 1-3 is very likely.

Playing 3 on Switch portably would be pretty sweet, and considering it ran on the GC, we shouldn't have (m)any issues.
