Batman Gotham Knight - Like I said in the Dark Knight Thread, couple of the stories are awesome, the others are very poor - disappointing.
Batman Begins - Rewatched last night - I'm a bit hyped for The Dark Knight, shame Katie Holmes isn't reprising her role - as much as her and Cruise make me sick with all their real-life lovey-dovey stuff I thought she played a good part and is more bang tidy than Maggie Gyllenhaal.
Dan In Real Life - Massive fan of Steve Carrell, a more serious comedy as opposed to more slapstick movies like 40 Year Old Virgin, Anchorman etc. Really enjoyed it. Made my day yesterday, reading that he's signed up for three more years of the American Office (Get-In!).
I've often tried to get into other hitchcock films apart from the obvious 'Psycho' but none seem to grip me half as much, pity because thats one of my favourite ever films. odd really.
I'm particularly looking forward to Vertigo, and Psycho obviously. I've never even seen Psycho apart from the shower scene!!
Watched a few the last couple of days - HD has really got me into my movies again.
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang: Robert Downey Jr and Val Kilmer in the guy wot wrote Lethal Weapons first stint in the directors chair. Bloody funny with Downey a fantasticly dry wit and the gorgeous Michelle Monaghan and her boobies.
Batman Begins: Best Batman by far! Looks amazing and Christian Bale is a great leading man. Michael Caine almost outdoes him though
Land of the Dead: If you've seen one zombie movie then you've seen then all (although to be honest the only one to actually watch is Shaun of the Dead). Bit too political commentary for me with the whole thinly veiled Bush administration and rich / poor divide.
Deaths were pretty grim though. Some random victims face getting pulled off OVER their skull and someone else getting their heart ripped out from their throat.
Children of Men: Clive Owen is a brilliant actor. He always picks interesting roles and this was no exception. Also had Michael Caine in it again - always good.
Superbad: Don't usually watch these teen comedy things but this was damn funny.
I'm off work tomorrow so I'm going to re-re-re-re-re-re-rewatch Casino Royale and probably Battle Royale (the latter to bid a fond fairwell to Tartan <salutes>
I'm particularly looking forward to Vertigo, and Psycho obviously. I've never even seen Psycho apart from the shower scene!!
Yeah, I think I'd like vertigo too, I couldn't gel with the birds or rear window for some reason, none gripped me as much as Psycho, you will love it
Such an atmospheric film I just love the use of black and white with the lighting etc, and I don't like very many films at all. I could hardly name 3 favourites.
I watched a couple of films in my hotel room yesterday: John Tucker Must Die and some film about a demonic swimteam. Was like the demons off Charmed had their own naff movie...
North by Northwest is where it's at for Hitchcock, that and The 39 Steps.
I like The Wrong Man (Based on a True Story), with my personal fave being Strangers On A Train. I recently acquired the Hitchcock Boxsets and have been going through them recently.
On Monday I watched Fried Green Tomatoes at The Whistle Stop Cafe followed by Single White Female. I enjoyed them both - time to get checked over as I think I might have grown a womb.
Saturday: Princess (crazy Denmark anime, pretty mess up)
Sunday: Semi Pro (alright.... same old Will Ferrell)
Monday: The Bow (direct by Ki-duk Kim...is good)
Yesturday: There will be Blood Blu Ray (OMFG an evil fxxking film,DDL he so badass!! Awesome!)
Tonight: either I'm a Cyborg or The Propostion on blu ray..
