    Classic Mortal Kombat control lay-out??

    Hi guys, little question here.

    Whats the proper 'arcade' six button lay-out for mortal kombat games?

    See I'm getting mk vs dc and plan to use it with me TE stick.

    For now though I'm wanting to have a few goes of arcade MKII on my TE. So how are the buttons meant to be assigned?

    It's a bit confusing with the fact that mk vs dc used 1,2,3,4 aswel. Have they changed any of the classic moves, like b,b,lp for scorpions spear?

    1=lp, 2=hp, 3=lk, 4=hk? Is this right?

    If I knew what controls umk3 or trilogy used on the saturn that would probably help.

    Thanks

    its 5 button in the UK (apart from mk3 and up I guess)

    LP BLOCK HP
    LK BLOCK or RUN(if needed) HK

    Thats how I'd do it on a 6 button stick.

      Wasn't the arcade layout for the first two something like:

      LP LK

      Block

      HP HK

      I can't remember what happened when run was introduced.

        Sorry, but I'm still confused..

        Let's say on the classic saturn pad. We've got a,b,c and x,y,z. What would each button represent? On ultimate and trilogy.

        I think you even had 6-button control on the megadrive versions when using a 6-button pad..

          A = LP
          B = RUN/BLOCK
          C = LK
          X = HP
          Y = BLOCK/RUN
          Z = HK

              Yeah think it was actually, but it was the hards on top and lights on bottom.
              (uh, highs and lows even haha)
