I carry one mostly when im in work or going out and about. Inside the bag i will usuall yhave -

    umbrella
    Food
    Stationary
    Ipod
    Memory Stick
    drugs
    Money
    Scarf
    Keys
    Sometimes my phone

It is SO necessary, as not only do i hate have bulging pockets, things tend to get mashed up and crushed in the pockets...........

Plus it gives you something to fidget with, when yah hands can't fit in your pants pockets Dunno bout you guys but when i don't know what to do with my hands i feel awkward...........

continental style leather male HANDBAG (as in wot ladies carry) TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE

we didn't endure the Blitz and invade the Normandy beaches so men could use ladies fashion holders with designer logos on them. why not go the whole hog and get a fluffy one ?

      5. I strongly agree with this statement.

I don't carry a manbag as I cycle everywhere and use a rucksack. if I did have a manbag it would be like this..

If Bauer can have a manbag, then so can I.

Didn't Joey from 'Friends' have a manbag? He made it work right?

Besides, no one cares these days - its all in your head!

Next we'll be worrying about moistriser for men

Bauers isn't a manbag, its just a bag, to me a manbag is a male handbag, like this big hoof

I have one for work (like a messenger bag) and keep in my book for reading on the train, my lunch, radio attachement for mobile phone, work pass, iPod, any papers for work etc, daily paper. It's relatively slim and sits snugly at my side on the train. Nothing wrong with them in my opinion!

I remember starting a thread about this many years ago. Unfortunately it got lost in the great inadvertent thread culling incident which was also many years ago.

Anyway. I finally got around to getting a manbag which arrived today. I will be taking it on its first outing tomorrow. Rather excited.

I tend to use a backpack these days as the weight doesn't shift causing a brief but vicious circle of slipping on ice and becoming unbalanced (physcially).
I have a small plastic bag of painkillers, antihistamines, plasters, sanitiser (even pre-covid), wet wipes and Pepto-bismal tablets in the one pocket at all times. Usually marking in the main pocket, and maybe some pens in the front.

I keep overloading my pockets. Needed an alternative that’s compact! Sadly didn’t get to take my manbag out for a test run today.

I've got a crumpler messenger bag I use for laptop transportation to work. I've used the bag for worldwide travel as well as it's absolutely brilliant for flights.

Only reason I got it is there a lifetime guarantee on it. I've used that once when a zip broke after 5 years and the shop in Sydney just replaced it outright no questions. Love it.
