The full game is much better than the demo. Its the first thing I noticed. Do the practice parts, its not nearly as laggy. To me it also seems as if the colouring is better, as is the quality of the cutscenes. The overall game seems to run better, although tearing is still apparent. The load times are kind of sloppy, but its not that they really annoy me. The game should have gotten an installation feature though.

Its _very_ playable on Ps3. Battles are frantic and I have no problems dodging attacks for witch time. I've played the first few hours, and it easily beats DMC to hell so far. It seems that Bayo has about as much combos as an average Tekken character (thats just with starting weapons).. and then you can bind Shotguns to your feet too!

I bloody love it. This game has the classic unlockables, upgrades, secret levels and the urge to replay a level for a better grade. Maybe visually not the most impressive, but certainly one of the most fun and stylish games of this generation.

      RE: Darwock

      Not easily mate.
As the only reason i'm playing it on PS3 is because the 360 version is region locked.
I just couldn't wait unitl January to play this to be honest.
the conversion is 'serviceable' to say the least.

Would be interesting to see how much my timing is off, judging by the Xbox 360 vids, which seem a lot smoother overall.

Just a little tip for time saving when skipping cutscenes on the PS3 version. Hold both the L2 + R2 triggers, then press Select. Instead of pausing, then skipping. Might sound like a little thing, but trust me, far quicker.

It's probably a moot point as the RRP on this game is the highest I've ever seen (excluding games that come bundled with peripherals). 7980 yen in my local shop.. that's daylight robbery! So if I do buy it I'll be waiting until it gets cheaper. I suppose the plus side to that is there is no online portion so there's no need to get in there before the general population gets tired of it.

Anyway I have the GOW collection on pre-order and I think they are a very similar style of game... but I'm pining for a fix of the 'real' DMC

This is going to be my GotY for sure.
I've still only played the demo but have already played it longer than many retail games I have bought!

Still waiting for mine to turn up, it was sent a week past Thursday I'll be gutted if it's gone astray...

              Another couple of questions

Do you unlock combos or are they all there from the off?
What about weapons? Do you start with the Katana? This thing is freakin lethal and can cut angels to ribbons in a few hits!!

              Please turn up soon!

On Normal difficulty, around 10:30 mins give or take. Though for about 4 of those hours i was Halo farming.

                RE: Goeman.

As for combos, they're all unlocked from the start for all weapons. Unfortunately, you don't start off with the katana, though it won't take you long to get it.
Only special moves are purchased from the store, which can be used within combo strings as well. It's quite flexible.

I downloaded the demo for the 360 and found it very promising. Not sure if I'll buy it yet though since there are so many games I want to get (I've only just entered the world of 360) which are much cheaper due to their age. Saying that It is on my wants list even if it isn't near the top.

Sort of off topic but did I make the right choice of system. I notice that many gamers say that games which come out on both the 360 and PS3 always end up looking better, smoother or with lower loading times etc than the PS3 versions. Is this true or am I now trying to kid myself because I bought a 360?

Some weapons seem to be hidden, you can't miss the Katana but you can miss the others as the shards are more or less hidden in the stages. It seems that the Katana is the strongest weapon though.

You can also bind some of them to your legs, its all in all an extremely versatile game and combo's seem to be endless. I like the breakdance special you'll need to buy, and then with that electric/fire weapon attached to the legs. Dogdge offset is also a good technique to invest time in.

I was especially floored by the Chapter V bossfight.

If the demo is anything to go by, not a chance. The 360 version is light years ahead of the PS3 version. So much so that I'm prepared to wait until the western release to play it

My 360 version turned up today, haven't played it yet but installing it to the HDD as I type!

One thing I didn't realise is that it comes with a seperate CD (which I'm pretty sure is the OST) in it's own seperate case, pretty cool addition and makes me feel a bit better about the LE that's coming out over here.

Hurry up and install damn you!!

Had a lengthy session with the 360 version yesterday and can now make an informed comparison between the two. Bayonetta is a very fast paced precision action game and the 360 version feels like you are being ****ed by an 18 year old pornstar while the PS3 version is like being ****ed by her granny. Avoid.
