Seriously, it's literally the only thing in 2 Singstar games (excepting Ace of Spades) I even vaguely want to "sing", so gimme a break on this one, budd-ay.

Just recently experienced the Singstar series apart from the 80's title.

Does anyone know what exactly the eyetoy does with these games and is it worth picking one up ?

Wouldn't bother picking up the eyetoy solely for Singstar.. as far as I can remember it's only used to take a picture for the high score table. Get one for Eyetoy Groove though, that's what it's all about!

Nono singstar 80s has quite a lot to do with eyetoy, like a highlights of you at youre warbling best, a psychedellic own video thingy, but that said eyetoy is only worth owning for its own games, these are bonuses
