They changed the music to the very first level. God knows why, the replacement is bloody awful. Why!
Other than that, it all seems present and correct so far (up to Star 4). Oh and the annoying voice overs in the cutscenes grate a bit :/Last edited by Lyrical Donut; 27-09-2004, 16:59.

Does the king still greet you in a foreign language at the start of every level?
I thought that was a really cool touch.
He also at one point says that he absolutely loves italy. Does he still say this?
Level 6 is an arabic greetings I think, and level 7 is a Polish greeting... unles Ive mixed the order up.
I translated them and PMed Treble, but Ive lost my list.
I was wondering if the translators would understand why he was using foreign non-japanese words.
ALSO!
What is the reason for him destroying the stars? In the Japanese version it was because he got drunk, and he warns the you (the prince) about alcohol.
Is the alcoholic references still there?
Also, where can I buy this, and how much will it cost? Ive been snowed under and missed this release.

It's still very Japanese, apart from the family cut-scene story which they have overdubbed into "American".
Torn between this and Gradius V at the moment. My PS2 has'nt been this warm all year.
...and its Outrun 2 on Friday! Lucky that I blew the dust off the XBOX for Burnout 3

The foreign language greetings are still in there but I don't recall seeing Italy so that has probably been dropped unless I've missed something, I do remeber Polish and Arabic though.
Alcohol references are gone, the king says something about being "inspired by nature" or somesuch as an excuse for his drunken rampage! I assume Namco had to make that change to protect feeble minded American children from the evil of videogames or something.
I got mine for about ?14 from Videogames plus, no excuse not to own this really, get it in people!Last edited by SuperBrother; 07-10-2004, 08:52.

Normally I'd agree with you guys on seeing the final credits, but this game is so damn good it deserves more than that.
Seriously try to max out the objects, the inventory screens help you to work out where they might be within the game world and trying to get to different places at different sizes really does add a whole new dimension to the gameplay. It becomes almost puzzle orientated.
For example on the final level there is a volcano with a crater which is filled with water. If you've finished the game you will no doubt have picked up the entire volcano and thought great. However if you roll up the sides of the volcano much earlier in the level you will see 2 monsters swimming in the crater. You can only get these when you are big enough to pick them up, but small enough not to have caused the volcano to change into its final form.
There are loads of examples of this throughout the game.

Not as far as I know, but I have the Jap version.
Tracking down missing objects can be very tough. I've maxed out the largest objects, but I'm struggling with the smaller stuff. It's even more frustrating if you see something you think is new and it turns out you already have it. >_<
Because the inventory screens catalogue objects by size, area and type it's possible to take a guess at where they might be hiding. I assume that if you max out everything the final fruit on the inventory tree becomes unlocked (although I don't know this for sure) what this does I have no idea.
