some questions while I wait for the shops to restock/11th November comes around for a sick 2-hit combo of Halo and GTA:

1. when you speak about modded vehicles, can it be *any* car that you can modify, or is it just one type (the mentioned 'pimpmobile')? also, can you modify them to hilarious results, a la Pimp My Ride?
2. How is the combat in the game, for both melee and gunplay, compared to the previous two games?
3. most importantly of all (possible spoiler): Does Fernando show up in any way, shape, or form? I would like a simple yes/no response, no in-depth stuff revealed, cheers.

1. Not every vehicle can be modded (Bikes & Burritos come to mind) Though i have tried to get this type of car into the mod garage - yet the doors don't open :/
Certain cars can have a certain amount of moddable features. Say for example, one can have 2x and 10x nitros. Yet youtry another car, and it can only have 2x nitros. Same logic applies to some other mod features to other cars.

2. Slightly better. It still has the lock-on reticle, but now you can manually aim (could you manually aim in Vice City? i can't remember) Also hand to hand combat has a block button and a 'special' attack button [triangle] but still mainly whack-whack-whack type combos.

3. No idea.
He hasn't made a cameo in either of the radio stations. Then again, i've not listened to all the stations as of yet.

Latest thoughts:

i) Flying school: Jesus, maybe I'm losing my touch but I'm betting Joe Q Public will go nuts and ultimately give up - the Hurricane is an absolute bitch to fly at first and even now, having passed all the flying exams, I'm nowhere near comfortable with it yet. Very tricky...

ii) I flew over the No Fly Zone...and promptly had a couple of what I guess were heat seeking or radar guided missiles fired at me! All I could hear was the roar of them taking off and a strange noise as they sped towards me...panicking, I nose dived the plane towards the ground and twisted and barrel-rolled as a small hill came into view.

The missiles smashed into the hill and I managed to pull up in the nick of time. I'm either a natural or was just REALLY lucky. I prefer to think it's the former.

Oh, and for the person above who asked about one of the Liberty and Vice radio hosts making a reappearance, I can confirm he also makes a brief appearance on the talk station.

Re. the repeating radio stations - are there more stations this time? Perhaps there are less songs spread over more stations? One thing I noticed is that there are definitely differing versions of I Say/You Say on the talk station, one when you start and a new one once you hit San Fierro...

I've just caved in and blown $120,000 on the mansion in the hills of Las Santos on a bit of impulse shopping. I'm now officially skint again ($8,000 left).

On another note, anyone been phoned up by CJ's sister's boyfriend and experienced a huge chase with the couriers all over the countryside like a mad loon? They come on Monday and Fridays apparently, although the most I've got from them is a few hundred to a couple of thousand.

Yup. There are eleven radio stations this time and a total of about 150 tracks, and 40 commercials.

i have to say i am really enjoying the game now. took me about five hours to get into it, but now i am hooked. loved dancing in the club, driving the pimp mobile, playing the arcade machines. there is so much to do! The music is ok imo but i think it fits the style of the game well, just could of done with a few more killer tracks ike vc for me. i cant wait to get to the other places in the game

So after starving myself for ages and losing muscle I finally go back to Helena to see if I can get another date. She's having none of it - Say's CJ lacks style.

I change his clothes and hair and she still isn't giving an inch. Finally, I boost my sex appeal stat and pull up in a stetch limo to her farm, take her own car at the location and drive us both to the plane on top of the hill nearby. I'm ready to at last conduct my insideous plan.

Unfortunately, I find it's a one seater and so we can't go up together (I've yet to find a helicopter or other form of air transport). Time runs out, she quips in with her usual comment at how she's above CJ and very 'complex', wanting now to be taken home.

My only method of reply was a chainsaw.
The relationship ended soon after.

anyone know if car collecting is in this one? I've not come across it yet but it was pretty fun seeking out the rare cars and crossing their names off the big sign and getting a special car reward on Vice City.
