Hmmm, not so great.
I read the 8/10 review in Edge and thought that finally Sony had fulfilled the potential of EyeToy, but from what I've seen I am not all that impressed.
Nothing on the disk is as good as Puyo Puyo on Sega Superstars, even if they have a lot to do within each game. As an example, the baseball game has you swinging your arms to hit the ball and then pumping your arms to pretend you are running in order to get around each base. This works pretty well and is obviously amusing for anyone watching! Afte each 'level', you get a minigame, so in the baseball game you may have to do a fitness test, which you have to follow the structions of your coach - jump!, run! etc.
It is amusing for a bit, but the quality of the detection doesn't appear to be as good as that in Superstars - this is mostly evident in the otherwise pretty good Air Guitar, which has you stumming the cords in time to music, but it doesn't always work which makes it a bit frustrating.
The menu's are numerous, slow and irritating; especially in multiplayer where it resets back to the game selection after each round. In fact, multiplayer on the whole is not very well implimented as it seems to take an age between the end of one game and the start of another.
Of all the games on offer it is Bubble Pop that works the best - requiring you to carefully move in order to pop the white bubbles but avoid the red. It gets very difficult when the levels are moving at high speed.
There are also loads of extras and stuff in the playroom, but the only decen thing I've been able to find is the Pool, which works pretty well, but doesn't have a lot to it.
I'd rather a full game of Puyo Puyo EyeToy than this, any day of the week.
