Viewtiful Joe 2 Demo

Just got back from Wallmart today, and to my delight there's a demo pod for VJ2!

Initially what hit me first, being a VJ fan, was the crisper graphics. The demo starts of with a tutorial of moves, just like the 1st one, and as you expect, you don't have access to all the moves. A little into the demo you get your VFX powers too, again you start of with 'Slow'. There's certainly lot's going on in the background, waterfalls, dinosaurs etc, but I think it comes at a price. There's slowdown, (no I'm not hitting 'Slow' either) and only when the screen had an extra 3 baddies! This happened rarely, and TBH, many won't notice it. Maybe it had something to do with all the new background animation???

Other then that though (can't comment on sound) it's VJ as we expected. Didn't witness anything new, but I can't wait for the game regardless! Not long now...

You play the Cube demo or PS2? I remember there was a bit of slow down on VJ PS2 version right?

Not sure I buy that Ginza. Fair enough having slowdown on boss battles in Shooters but not on Joe. But then the first one also speed up a lot and I had issues with the zoomin in and out problem.

Still a great game though despite these 'faults'.

Played VJ with RGB (big up to Saur-zilla) last night (to get some practice in) - Alistair air raid lightening attacks put stars in my eyes. The conversation before the fight gets me every time. His piss easy to beat but I keep coming back for those 'cut scenes'.

Taurusnipple, was the demo rocking quality VJ humour in the cut scenes?

Loving that Alistair is back ("if it isn't my eternal rival")!!
