Just the sprites looked as piss poor as the KOF game on the Atomiswave board... so put 2 and 2 together and made 7. Yeah is System 246, oh joy PS2 hardware, still looks arse compared to CPS 3 or Naomi 2...

I think this game is heavy! The DVD you get with the Japanese verison is superb and learning those sick combos they show and then applying them to versus challenges is all live round my ends! I dont care what you haters say - this game has the best Zangief ev4r! and Alex is even more grim than he is in 3rd Strike - Alex stringing together 2 supermoves = Hurt - and Leo is like Clark with a sword, you can buffer in 360s from his forward dash and sit back and laugh!

deffinitly looks arse compared to CPSIII but i suppose it makes the PS2 port very simple..

as for the game, just seems like a rush job also ive had to whack the speed of the game to max to make it feel better and i think the SF3 characters dont fit in all that well

well i think ill play it till i unlock everything and then pop SF3 back in my PS2

I picked up the US version cheaply whilst over there (only cost $25 - ?13!), and I like it. I haven't put a whole load of time into it, but I see the appeal of mixing game systems up.

After playing a fair bit of 3S recently, the graphics are a disspointment -but once you get over that (and it doesn't take long) there is a solid game there.

I miss Ken though. SF2-style Ryu is pretty hard tho.

COMING TO XBOX LIVE ON FRIDAY 3rd JUNE! YES, THIS WEEK. \o/

                Great timing tbh,

Right, to begin with, i dont think i have ever been so wrong about a fighting game EVER. I played this a few months ago and dismissed it as blatant trash and went back on my merry way back to 3rd strike. Also, my biggest mistake was only playing Arcade mode...what a fool, didnt even bother to try playing the few mates that live round me who like fighters. Kinda gutted, as im gonna get decked online for ages

Anyway, on the weekend, i happen to stumble across some SBO 3 vids for the finals of CFJ\CFE. (Super Battle Opera; Big tourney in japan! You should see the screen for the spectators >_<;; )

****! All i saw was ****loads of possibilities game mechanic wise, and a whole host of characters ive never touched in other fighting games to be learned, that i had failed to even try and discover myself . The video showed so much possibilities, and opened my eyes that im missing out on a fun game. :| Looked well fun and frenzied, i had to give this another chance >_<;;; So, running off to my mates house, he loads up CFE which had god knows how much dust on it and we proceeded to play...played non stop for 4 hrs. and yes, the game in Vs, is ****ing brilliant.

I love SF3:TS...but after months of playing it, practically non stop on live Im gettin a bit tired of it...just a bit mind. Anyway, loads of new mind games, new strategies, new moves, new characters in this, cant wait to sit down and put some time into it.

Yeah the graphics in places look **** (Demitri\red earth chars\Pyron... ) and its not animated as beutifully as SF3...BUT IT WORKS. SF3 character have been absolutely raped though, in terms of looks and effectiveness. Still, i am convinced that, the only way to destroy a Guile player on this, IS to use the SF3 chars with the parry. Cant wait to play endless dry players using guile >_<;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; Parries seem to have similar timing to that of 3s, so obvious stuff like sonic boom into flash kick get punished.

Seems like my old faves Guy and Karin will be my back up characters to use when i want to go back to flamboyant characters that im familiar with (FEAR ONE BUTTON A-ISM xD...got to land it first though. >_<) But the character i love using at the moment is Anakaris!

I never played Darkstalkers much...but omg, this guy is ****ing random! At first play, bluntly, he seems ****. Slow ass walk, slow springy jumps, no real anti air. However, on extended play...DEMON. This guy can hover over fireballs, kick from out the ground, do triple jumps, all his normal moves have killer linking potential, he has ground stomps, he can turn enemies into...STUFF, can extend his limbs, shoot out a snake arm thing that takes 3/4 of the screen up...but best of all, when trapped in a corner, dash back and he APPEARS ON THE OTHER SIDE. Great for escaping from corners by attacking opponents, such a great character, my favourite of all the CFJ crew so far. He seems pretty hard to use effectivley, but im gonna stick with him.

Another thing i love about this game, is the music, it suits the pace of the game well. Favourite is the "Training Stage", "Ruins" and "Japan" and "USA" stages...oh hell, i love them all...apart from the character select muzak ^_^ Backgrounds dont look too bad either, although not really animated well, but thats just a minor issue.

See ^^, doesnt look "THAT" bad.

Game has a whole range of fight mechanics from SSF2\SFZ2\Red Earth\Dark Stalkers\3s with a few things missing or added to each (Yun has no Genei Jin xD, Urien has his juggles borked xD ) Kinda dissapointed the dirty old man Oro is not in this, but oh well, at least he has a cameo.

I havent had much time to play around, and expirement with the other game mechanics, not too sure if i know all there is too know about "ES" moves for darkstalkers, and if they have any Zero\alpha counters etc...someone care to elaborate? Same with Red Earth characters, 2 mediums pressed togeather uses your super stock for life regeneration, while 2 hard attacks = ????, seems like a taunt, but prolly a kind of Dudley's Cross Counter thing aye? Kenji seems bad ass though, need more time to figure him out.

Didnt really come across too much skankiness on this yet, all characters can hold their own against all other characters, but if in trouble, just tag in another character next round to deal with him, so, overall not too bad. Nice small cast, kind of a tight balance. Although...Jedah and Zangief can be CNUTS! Final Atomic Buster, and his big meaty standing and crouching HP's are...ARGHHH. (Btw, finish the game with Alex, and in his ending he squares off against the legend, HAGGAR \o/) Oh, and i think i will find some use for Hauzer, a character that big, and ugly just has to have some skanky abusable moves. xD

Oh well, hope others here will give the game a chance, and find that there is a nice tight fighting game lurks under some of the rehashed sprite rips. Somthing new to learn, and in a way, easier to get into compared to cvs2\3s as you are not limited to learning a system you arnt used too, find the right system for you, and a familar character from the capcom universe.

Oh, and for those who dont know, heres the cast list...

NO KEN! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA See you on xbox live.

Is it the US release that's coming out on the 3rd June? I can only see 25th June for the PAL version...

I was playing this on the PS2 this morning in versus for the first time and it's a really good fun little game. I like the way that you can mix the fighting style of each of the characters and it's good to play some old classic alpha characters again.

I'm going to keep an eye out for the xbox version so I can start playing it online.

Sonic Hurricane: Fun With Capcom Fighting Evolution Vid <Save Target As>

Real cool vid of CFJ...if this dont make the people who think its crap interest perk, nothing will. Some absolute mental **** goin on in this vid, just shows how much fun you can have with the game system. Has a good choice of backing music in the vid too xD.

                            I was wrong about this game too >.<;

Should be on xbox live soon...wont someone else here buy it? >.<

You've got me verrrrry tempted to get this.

When I first playing it, I wasn't overly impressed...But your excitment is starting to turn me.

Where have you been getting movies for this? I haven't been able to find very much on it, nothing will convince me more than a tonne of sick assed vids!

Is there a concrete date for when its gonna land!?
