Can't see a thread for this, so I thought I'd post a few quick impressions, as I got the game from Play Asia today.
The pack contains ports of the Vampire/Darkstalkers arcade machines Vampire, Vampire Hunter and Vampire Savior, as well as the rejigged Vampire Hunter 2 and Vampire Savior 2 machines. The games seem well converted and are, I assume, pretty much arcade perfect. In addition to the arcade mode, each game gets a versus mode and a fairly good training mode, too, and there are full command lists available in-game for each character.
As with the Street Fighter 3 and Hyper Street Fighter PS2 conversions, the display is hi resolution and interlaced with the game scaled up to fit, rather than preserving the original non-interlaced low resolution. You get various screen positioning and scaling options, plus you can toggle filtering on and off and adjust the flicker filter, so it's not too hard to find a decent compromise between pixelation and blurriness.
There seems to be a few unlockables in the game. For one, there's an art gallery with getting on for 200 images in it, more than half of which are initially locked. The manual also shows a "secret game" option, which looks to be a version of the game with all the characters in, but I could be wrong. There also appears to be a hidden character called "Dee" in the game.
Game's in English for the most part, but the story text is in Japanese. Although there's a Secret Option menu for each game, there doesn't seem to be a way to switch to English, as you could with the Saturn Vampire Savior.
All in all, as long as you don't object to the resolution/scaling thing there's not much to fault with this collection as far as I can tell. A great set of games, well converted to the PS2.
Street Fighter Alpha Collection next please, Capcom. And stick SF3 1 and 2 on it as well.
