Against the dumbbots, you can see how the game is supposed to work. In Multi, its survival by just whoring the most damaging characters.

Players like the sniper are pointless, as they actually have to aim and use precision to win on levels like Beach Dead. The players i have encountered are just doing all the above bull**** just to rank up as quick as possible. So what if you shoot them once with the sniper, 5 secs later, they are back where they died.

From what ive seen, the things that are whored the are Sneeker to just run up and spam attack, and the demolisher for instant kills via splash damage off the rockets.

It wouldnt be so bad if there was a limit to the amount of each class allowed on a team, or a limit to how many times you can respawn as a different class from that you chose at the beggining. Urghhh.

Im gonna give the game on multi a final go...but i saw enough from what i played to know this is what it will be like. People just change classes to suit the situation at the time, which imo is wrong.

At the end part of Beach Dead for example, the whole other team will have changed to Demolisher (rockets) and bombard the gates to **** where the boss is on the otherside to protect him. &/OR, the attacking team does the same to try and take whole chunks of the boss in one go...whereas before they were Sneekers, and just changed classes to fit that particular situation on the map and make it more easier.

Where is the skill and team work in that. ****s sake. :/

Is anyone here actually playing this game online and come across all these faults? It just seems either im by myself with these impressions of the online mode, or people just have not bothered with the online part at all.

Whatever, as of now, most infuriating single and multiplayer games i have played in a long time. Single player moments can be overcome eventually, playing human opponents exploiting\abusing limitless class changes just for the sake of it makes the game a battle of teeth grinding patience, whoring and bull****.

Also, they should of stuck the Beach Run level from the original...that game mode alone beats all of this games deathmatch's and "team" modes.

Seriosly, im just getting pissed off with thinking about this games online mode.

I hear ya Jassi, apart from playing the N64 version I'm with you on every one of your complaints. That hoverboard section was a ****in nightmare!

Still I did enjoy the single player game; from what I've played of Dumbots, multi player's wank and from reading about the Live 'problems' I'ma not gonna bother online...

I played this for about half an hour when I bought it and it's sat on the shelf since then. I decided I wanted to play it through today, so I have been playing it solidly since 10am.

          I want today back.

I've never played the N64 version, so am obviously going to be less forgiving of Conker's flaws, but please, this game is atrocious. The story's great, the characters are lovely, and it looks gorgeous, but if I fall off another platform and die because of that sodding skid that the squirrel does after running 1 bloody step I think I'm going to kill somebody.

Oh, and I know why Rare didn't fix anything before releasing this version. If they had, there'd have been about 3 hours of gameplay.

After spending about 2 hours getting killed by random glitches on the hoverboard section I have now packed Conker safely in my bag to trade tomorrow.

          Soreley disappointed.

Conker was always rubbish. I remember back at Rare years ago when they had a prototype of "Conker" which was pretty much a 4 player beat-em-up, you could dig underground and then press the Z trigger and come out bursting, you could throw items around and smash up the levels a bit, alas - they couldn't sell it without a single player mode, and they didn't want to do another "nintendo style" platformer as they already had Tootie on the books.

So they reinvented the single player and then had to re-do the multiplayer to follow the 'swear words and ****e' stylings.

I suppose it could of been worse, the DKR team have been working on canned projects for the last 5 years on and off, and they never did make the tiptup game i was hoping for (ged'it, tipped up - and hes a turtle? etc)
