    Incredible Hulk:Ultimate Destruction

This game rocks simple to use controls good graphics and a awesome feeling of power. What i liked is the little touches such as when you jump high and land the ground cracks beneath your feet.Or when you grab on to a wall while you are falling and you leave big grab marks.Definetly borrows/steals elements from spiderman such as wall climbing and wall running. Also the way you can buy skills later.

With hulks added strength and abilitys there is more you can do.Picking up cars/boulders/tanks/helicopters is very fun also with the targeting you can lock on to enemys you want to thow objects at.Thankfully there is more to it than just that. For example you can pick up a car and rip it in half and use it as make shift boxing gloves.More abiltys with different objects can be purchased later.Seems you get a rating on the destruction you cause to but i have only skimmed on that at the moment

Seems great so far will post more impressions soon
Actually i will do one now " GRAHHH HULK SMASH"

This game is so much fun it should be against the law! I've been giving it some serious playtime and can't really put it down.

I wasn't expecting much from it but I was giggling like a schoolgirl within minutes of starting. Some of the moves and utter carnage you can cause is totally off the scale !

Levelling buildings, smashing through traffic, booting people into the air only to watch them crash to earth, pounding robots and tank with buses, cranes and boulders.

And some of the unlockable moves are fantastic (like the bowling ball and missile catcher)

The Hulk certainly plays and feels like the complete powerhouse he is in the comics.

720p support on the Xbox as well makes it look fantastic

Even Lou Ferrigno agrees that this game is muchos funus

I was kinda mesmorised by the demo, it was very fun, it was like playin an angry version of the spiderman 2 game.

and you say it has 720p, don't say that, I'm getting an lcd screen soon and I don't want a reason to spend another ?40

Silly question, but what makes this better than the ****ty movie game?

the ****ty movie was precisely that, this one is based on all the comics and stuff, and all you literally do is stomp around a giant city and smash stuff up. But there is something strangely satisfying about it

Yeah but what I mean is, is the gameplay different or just the story?

No Bruce Banner stealth sections for starters (thankfully) - in fact he's only in it during cutscenes and voice overs.

There are loads of moves, loads (and I mean loads) of opportunities to raise hell on civilians, police, tanks, helicopters, mech's and buildings.

Gameplay and story are different from the movie tie in (it's based more on the comics which is a good thing). Combat is much more fluid and fun, you can go anywhere on the map. The draw distance is pretty impressive too (especially when standing atop a sky scraper and looking around).

Like EvilBoris said its sooooooo satisfying to bust everything up in your path. And when you've done that, bust it up some more

I've been playing this all weekend and I'm sure I'm about 3/4 of the way through the story, but there's still tons of moves to unlock.

It looks great at 720p but it does suffer some slowdown when things go utterly mental on screen. Not that it's a real problem and its a small price to pay for it looking so great

Some enemys do a ton of damage against the hulk. For example the helicopter missiles and homing missiles from the land based missile launchers.

The amount of moves really boggles the mind

Oh whats the furthest anyones got on the BAtter up mission? i can only get 372 yards which is just enough for a silver medal.

Does the PAL version support 720p or just the NTSC one?

You're still feeling it then, Eastyy? The reviews that have been less than outstanding have all said that the exhilarating feeling of power wears off in the latter half of the game as it just goes relentless rather than more interesting.

PAL one's not out till a week Friday (9th) so not sure yet. As Prog Scan support is missing from most PAL Xbox titles I'd say chances are it won't

Yeah, but (when the moves are unlocked) at least you get to turn it back around on them later on.

Picking missles out of the sky and giving them a taste of their own medicine is brilliant. Plus splitting open the rocket launcher packs and throwing those out is a nice way of turning the tables

I wouldn't say the effect wears off that much since the game keeps allowing you to get more and more powerful as you unlock more abilities. Enemies do get more determined but if they didn't it would make the game to easy. Providing you make use of all the combos and skills the sense of power certainly remains.

Well one thing it has over spiderman is that the optional missions are far more varied.Shame only a few buildings appear to be destructible to.The first boss battle i thought was fantastic fun especially when i used a charged punt kick and knocked him flying and you saw lots of destruction great fun.

This isn't the case. Nearly all my PAL games work in prog scan. There's a few that don't, GTA SA, Mashed. But as you obviously have a chipped Xbox to be playing prog scan, you can alter the xbe to force prog scan in these games.

Well it doesn't need to have been chipped, it could be a US Xbox

Prog scan crashed some of my games (like Enter The Matrix and others) so I assumed it caused problems for all of them. That's nice to know and tanks for clearing that up

Later on, most of them are. When the Hulk-Busters come out in force most of the buildings can (and will) be levelled when it all kicks off
