From what I've heard, it doesn't. I have the US version.

Any definitive answer about the lack of records yet?

Sadly, yes. There is definitively no records screen and no versus team battle.
That's a swift 66B in the nuts as far as I'm concerned.

          No versus team battle!

          That is appaling.

Absolutely no reason to exclude these things.

Anybody using Zasalamel here? He seems like a really cool character to use (LOVE the scythe) but he's moves are bloody hard to master.

Come to think of it, every character seems harder to master, yet 'tighter'.
Mitsurugi, Raphael and Kilik took a while to get used to again, despite having used them to death in SC2.

ARe you sure you don't have to unlock Vs team battle as in SC2?

I thought I was all done with unlocking stuff (I've cleared out the shop and had nothing new for a week or so) but last night I got 29 new items, so I'm not giving up hope yet.

A: Sorry to break it to you, folks, but THERE IS NO TEAM BATTLE in this game.
                  Bites, doesn't it?"
Arse - I might have to not buy this game now.

Right finally got round to playing this.

I'm impressed by the visuals, they are certainly up there with the DC original although I've noticed slight slowdon at times. Not a jaggy in sight.

I'm hoping to unlock an exhibition theatre mode at some point as I love having the fighters performing solo in the background when I'm hoovering.

The new modes are rather pointless.

Anyway glad to have Soul Calibur back in the house.

So the PAL version, I presume it has a 60htz option? And the only difference presumably is the lack of 480P?

As if thats the case I'll pick up the PAL version which is about ?5 cheaper.

                        Cheers.

Is it just me or is the World Tournament mode the most ridiculous online mode that was abandoned at the last stage ever?

Haven't played this much, so I don't really have a lot to say about it (nothing new there).

My problem with this and Soul Calibur and Soul Calibur II, is the intro.

The intro for Soul Blade/Soul Edge on PlayStation was, in my opinion, the best thing ever, better than putting your pee pee into a pretty girl's wah wah - if you take my meaning.

Why, oh, why can't Namco give us another intro of this standard?
and that question goes to Giles Brandreth.

Staying on topic, I liked the owl bloke.

Conclusion: If you like dull intros and owl-like warriors then you'll love Soul Calibur III.

Well that is a matter of opinion.

I liked Soul Calibur 1's intro the best, because you could customize it in a director's mode. It's a pitty you can't do that anymore, because it was really cool. But these CG intros still look cool.

I didn't like Soul Edge's intro that much. The CG quality by today's standards is pretty crap. Except the part with Sophitia taking a bath. But even still, Sophie looked like a ho.

I agree on the intro front, that song was too good
